Shouldn't be. I never heard about any cuts to the episodes that aired on TV here so the disc shouldnt be cut either.

No, I can remember a member on here sending an email to E1 and getting a reply assuring us Season 2 won't be cut and Season 1's censorship was just a mistake that couldn't get cleared up.

Sold 1 for £12 to a friend.
Makes season 2 only £16

I didn't see it on tv so cuts and stuff don't bother me, first time I saw the first season was on UK blu-ray so you know

I really hope you are right. The cuts on season 1 REALLY bothered me and is the sole reason I won't buy day 1 - need confirmation. I can not and will not tolerate censorship... I'm a grown man goddammit

The main reason I won't buy season 1 is because it's lacking loads of bonus features that the US set has. So When I decide to buy. I will buy the US one and get the UK season 2 since it's uncut and will most likely have the exact same features as the US discs.

hopefully the box with both seasons are all uncut - i can do without the extras as long as i get the uncut show.... getting everything would be nice though. Thanks for your info

If I hear that they will be uncut I'd buy that in a heartbeat. The cuts are what has stopped me buying Season 1 so far.

I'm pretty much 100% sure that uncut season 1 will never get a release outside of USA. The whole deal with E1 screwing up means that we will never get an uncut season 1 until the contract expires and another deal can be struck to release the uncut season.

Season 1 of TWD is indeed cut (by 25 seconds across the entire season), this is a result of our contractual obligations with creators AMC and the licensor FOX International. We have been supplied with the international version of the show due to region specific laws and contracts in a number of territories.

We will not be releasing an uncut version due to the for mentioned contractual obligations with the creators and licensor.

Season 2 will, however, not be cut and will be the American version.

It was from the Walking Dead Season 1 thread. I honestly can't see it ever getting released uncut here. So once the next few months have passed and the crazy amount of releases settles down, I'll pick up the US one. Hopefully it'll get a good price come black friday.

Yeah, 2 will be completely uncut. But I know a lot of people won't be completely convinced until it's out and people have checked

I don't even think the show was cut on TV anyway. But I'm sure others could chime in on that.

So no it's not bare bones. But it is listed as 3 discs, where as the US is 4.

Although it does seem to be missing some features from from the US 1 though, it does't mention any Audio Commentaries or the webisodes.

This is when having a region ABC player will pay off, can wait for confirmation of UK vs US extras, then probably order the US set...
And of course it allowed me to import the first season, uncut. Region lock, smegion lock.

EDIT: Although being cheap, either release I'll probably wait for the price to drop.

i use my ps3 as a player and can not play us discs, but that is ok if I get all episodes uncut - so thanks again for valuable info - think i'll go pre-order now

It looks like the UK set will be missing audio commentaries and the Webisodes. So thats sealed the deal on me getting the US set. It's just a shame that they are releasing it in an amaray not a digipack to match the special edition (although if you buy the zombie head it comes in a digipack not an amaray )
