Yeah, thanks for sharing PK but in which case get out of the thread.

Can't wait for part 2 on FX, this series has been great, some nice twists.

When's Part 2 meant to start up again on FX?

I liked season 1, but didn't care much for season 2. Once they got to that ranch/farm the series just got bogged down and didn't really go anywhere. Won't be watching it when it picks up again on FX.

Well they said that the Season 2 release was going to be uncut, but I think I'll wait until its out and confirmed before deciding on buying.

While the first half has been a tad slow, I've actually really enjoyed it. They needed the time to get more character development and they did a great job with that. Loved the final moments of the mid-season finale and I am very excited for what the rest of season 2 has to offer. Will have to get this as soon as it's out.

They have said the second half of series 2 will have a lot more going on. I think the show has been frustrating overall, it shows bags of promise but never quite fulfills. Perhaps I was spoilt by reading the excellent source material first although I'm enjoying it enough to tune in every week still.

Same here - I wasn't thrilled about the first few episodes (well, 2 to 6) but that ending was the first time since the pilot that the series has translated the tone of the comics. Rick's survival-above-all attitude especially but just the general crippling, impossible decisions and hopeless tragedy that runs through the comic sries. Not to mention Shane's speech feeling like a classic speech from the comics - angry, proud, hyperbolic, shouty! It was enough to win me back over and hope that it's a sign of things to come.

Having said that the series will really have to pick up to make me buy it. At the moment I have no plans to rewatch any of it and I'm past the point in collecting boxsets just because I like the show. Of course, should they get to
[Show spoiler]the prison
and it all be done with the same brilliant grimness as the comics then it might very well win me over.

I am so excited for this. I'm so buying it! - Surprisingly the cuts in season 1, didn't bother me too much.

Are the episodes that air in the UK for season 2 uncut? If so the Blu will be too. The first season was cut on blu because the episodes shown on TV were cut. A whole stupid licensing issue.

But from what I know the second seasson is uncut on UK tv so the Blu will be too.

What kind of cuts are we talking about?
Massive bloody body parts flying around or 2milisecond sweary moments?

the UK DVD/Blu-ray release is a pre-cut version of the series shown in its entirety on US TV. The BBFC did not impose any further cuts for a 15 rating.

Saying that the pilot episode 1 is shown in its entirety rather than an (uncontentiously) shortened version shown on US TV.

But other episodes were cut for violence

Episode 2: 9s of cuts to Rick dismembering a corpse with an axe and then delving around in its innards. See pictorial cuts details from movie-censorship.com.
Episode 4: Missing two explicit and gory zombie bites in the scene where the camp is attacked near the end. One of these – where a young woman is bitten in the throat, with screams and gushing blood.
Episode 5: 12s of cuts to Carol twice driving a pickaxe into the head of her dead husband. See pictorial cuts details from movie-censorship.com

I enjoyed the first series and bought the Blu-ray, but I don't have Sky or anything so I haven't seen season 2 yet. A definate pre-order for me though.

Fingers crossed channel 5 will air the series soon.
