Why are there 5 discs for this release?

I did preorder it from amazon today using the $8 coupon. I hope Best Buy prices it at $24.99 on release day and amazon matches Best Buy! With the coupon that would bring the final price down to $16.99!!!!

Yeah, I saw that. Deep Discount likely did that for the same reason Amazon puts most video game pre-order dates as December 31. It's a placeholder until the real release date is available.

I also used the link on the amazon page to report the Deep Discount price to amazon for pricematching. Everyone here should nuke that link and try to force amazon's hand

The only thing I have against DD is that they do not let you cancel the order once it has been placed. You can go into your account and cancel the order, but it does not work. They simply ignore your request and ship it anyway and yes... it is charged on your credit card or whatever was used at checkout time. That part I don't like about DD. Also, they charge state taxes in California. I am not sure where they are from, but I was under the impression they are back east somewhere. Anyway, 20 bucks is a good deal on this one. So I ordered it from DD.

Never just use the site. I have emailed them before and gotten responses back that the item is cancelled and never had a problem. One time they apparently claimed they shipped an item that I had ordered and cancelled, but I had an email from them that confirmed it was cancelled (about a full month before they claimed they shipped it) and never received anything in the mail as well and they did reverse the charge.

I have purchased from them for years (started when it was deepdiscountdvd.com) with no problem. I was going to order from amazon but for $7 Deepdiscount.com made more sense.

When do you reckon the US release is? Early next year?

Theres no way UK/Europe are seeing it this year due to the fact its only just releasing in theatres.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brave came out on December 4th as well.

Disney-Pixar loves to release multiple titles together -- Up/Monsters Inc, Toy Story/Toy Story 2, Cars (first release)/Ratatouille, Incredibles/Cars (re-release), and there are a few others -- so unless they have something else up their sleeve to release with Brave that we don't yet know about, I'd guess it'll come out on December 4.

But that's just my two cents.

Just a heads up that the coupon is now expired on Amazon.com. Would have been nice if there was some sort of expiration date for it since I totally forgot about it with a lot going on, then checked it out today and saw it was gone. Target it is then since my brother works there.
