The Bluray Steelbook case is better than the BR single disc edition.

[QUOTE=zachnix18;6155516]Memento the collector's edition was the best dvd package ever. Seriously. So awesome, the menu's being like a secret game, and packaged like a doctor's folders with sticky notes saying watch this film.

I have to agree as well. I think when The Dark Knight came out on Blu-ray, my collection was making the transition from the DVD format to Blu-ray (I skipped HD-DVD ). Even though I bought just about every N. American retailer exclusive on the Blu-ray format, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the Circuit City-exclusive DVD because of the Joker slipcover. Even with all of the reissues on Blu-ray, nothing Dark Knight-related has come close to that Circuit City slipcover. I hate the Batpod (used on practically every N. American release) then and now.

At least companies like Kino keep the original art with their upgrades.
This is a perfect example! I have bought each of these. There are too many examples to count. I have always felt that the studios figured we could live with the inferior packaging since we are getting the best AQ & PQ. Why not put your best product in the best possible packaging?
