80/399 pages in and so far not seeing why some people dislike this novel, really hoping I enjoy the way it plays out and the ending doesn't tick me off.

It was a good book, very violent, as for the ending I liked it, but it depends HEAVILY on how you feel about something...

Yeah I finished it off, I wish the ending had been more expansive as there were other characters I wanted to find out about post-Catching Fire but it went out much better than Twilight or Harry Potter did.

Of course I did, I imagine Hunger Games is going to end up being my favourite 4 film franchise of all-time, although there's a rather obvious reason why I would feel that way.

There's the fact that designed 4 film franchises are rare, this one is well-cast for the most part and I cannot imagine a more perfect choice for the girl on fire than Jennifer Lawrence. I doubt she will keep up her torrid pace of film-making but I plan to enjoy it while it lasts.

I don't think she'll stop making movies but the pace she's at is too much for anyone, she'll probably slow to a much more manageable pace soon, would imagine shortly after Mockingjay 2 comes out. Quick a lot of graphic content coming if the book was any indication, almost makes me wish Summit and Lawrence(Francis) had the guts to make the last film Rated R.

They can't make it R cause then they would be cutting off their main audience who it's marketed towards.

I wonder how much they will change from the books, some of the stuff that takes place in Mockingjay, even in 2 films, might not work since it seems connected to stuff people who have only seen the movies won't be able to connect the dots on. Never would've guessed that a random trip to BB to blind buy The Hunger Games would end up with me liking the franchise more than Twilight and Harry Potter combined.

I now wonder how these movies will do in theatres, $300 million+ for each domestically is a given but there's the fact that the first sequel to THG may not even actually pass the first film's box office, although that may be because the first film didn't have as much competition. Definitely need to read Mockingjay again at least 1 more time before the movies come out.

The Hunger Games made $408 million in 24 weeks according to BoxOfficeMojo and hit 400 million by week 12. I'm pretty sure Catching Fire will be able to hit 400 million by the end of it's domestic run.

Damn school. Have to learn all day for tests, finals and all that crap. I want to read Mockingjay so badly right now, but sadly I have no time for it, because I habe to work besides school. Maybe I'll find time for it by the end of the week...

I fully intend to finish reading Catching Fire myself tomorrow night as soon as I get home from y Chemistry 111G final. I just don't want to do it right now and accidentally replace potentially vital chemistry information with random Katniss and Panem facts.

Robert Knepper Joins The Hunger Games: Mockingjay

As they did with the casting for "Catching Fire," Lionsgate is using the Hunger Games Facebook page to make important casting announcements and the latest name added to the cast is Robert Knepper, who will play the role of Antonius in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Parts 1 and 2.

A veteran character actor for nearly 30 years, Knepper is probably best known for his roles on TV in "Prison Break" and "Heroes" and also appeared in films such as Hitman and Transporter 3.

The character Antonius seems to be a bit of a mystery, because he doesn't seem to be from Suzanne Collins' book, but we assume that he's either someone new we'll meet in District 13 or someone from The Capitol.
