Which is why I'm considering it, hopefully it won't be more than $29.99 on the 22nd.

Not foam, but rather, plastic. Here's the pic that Tony208 posted in the Target thread:

Just ordered mine...$29.99.
Saved me on tax since it is Tax Free weekend here in Massachusetts!
Picking up on release day.

Why is delivery date set for 08/20/2012 for Amazon orders and not the 18th?
Has the release day changed?
Canceling my pre-order at Amazon anyway.

Release date is Saturday, August 18th. Amazon doesn't do release-date delivery on Saturdays.

They wouldn't have a nice box to put them in, so that wouldn't make sense. I think the Best Buy exclusive looks nice, but I hate the extra space and uncertainty that there will ever be anything to fill it up.
Some anime series include a box with the first disc before the entire series is released, so it is possible that's what Lionsgate and Best Buy are doing. However, I don't like the box at all, so I'm getting the Target Exclusive.

Do the disks just slide in or do they press down on a thing.. because I'm scared if they just slip in there, they might get scratched easily

The DVDs maybe, but Blu-rays are pretty scratch resistant.

The protective coating on Blu-ray discs are pretty resilient, so even if they're slotted, removing and replacing them occasionally or frequently should not contribute to surface scratches.

If this item is so "limited" why is it readily available to order on their site?

The Walmart one has the Mockingjay pendant, right? Is there anything else included?

And what is included in the Costco?

I hope so. I am not sure when exactly itll get here since it hasn't appeared in the UPS tracking website since it barely shipped but it takes 1-5 days so I might get it between tomorrow and monday as far as I know right now. I will update when it appears in the tracking website.

After getting a $10 gc from today's purchases, I used that against my pre-order so the price came down to 20 + tax w/ store pick-up this weekend. Looking forward to Saturday!

Not really a limited release at 47,250! copies so I bet well see this go as low as $14.98 probably $10 during Black Friday.
