Paramount's current, soon to be out of print, Blu-ray Disc for Friday The 13th is the uncut version... I'm willing to bet Warner will just reissues the same disc unless they decide to make a US localized version of the UK disc.

in terms of uncut versions, 2's lost grue is long gone. I also think five's gore is also non-existent.

the rest of the series cut gore though seems to be in workprint form, so I have no idea how they'd integrate the cut scenes back into the movie - there are no uncut international versions of Parts 3 through 8 - all foreign territories got the pre-cut 'R' rated versions.

I wonder what the likelihood of 3 in 3-D is? WB has announced a bunch of 3-D catalog stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised.

if Warner's releases F13 Part 3 in 3D then they better rerelease retransfer 'Hondo' in 3D (since assuming Paramount would do that, would be akin to asking for the moon)

very low, my guess is the work on all of Paramounts titles was done in 2008 and they are just waiting to be replicated.

When parts 1,2, and 3 are eventually released by Warner Bros. on Blu-ray, I hope all the special features from Paramount's Blu-rays of parts 1,2, and 3 are included. Also, I hope all the special features from the deluxe edition DVDs of parts 5-8 make it on to the new Blu-rays.

This is a good news as I have held off on buying parts 1-3 on blu-ray for a while. I hope they release some sort of box set at a decent price

I've seen the work print cuts from part 7 the new blood completely unusable. I already own 1 2 3 only need part 4. would rebuy part 2 for a uncut version. I don't care about these films after part 4 in my mine tommy killed jason in part 4 and everyone lived happily ever after lol

Watched part 6 today on AMC, never really got into these movies. But somehow it was entertaining.

Wonder if they will fix the cropping on part one?

Jason X is one of the greatest films of all time. No, I am not kidding. I want it badly.

That cropping is simply the framing of the Uncut/European version- it's always been less exposed than the US version.

Agreed!

I would however buy a box set if that's all they released. Then again I will only breathe a sigh of relief once the titles are actually announced for release.

Yeah I have a feeling this will be packed as some crappy boxset and never be heard from again.

Alot of us already have 1-3 and I would prefer an individual release anyways.

I don't think we will ever see an uncut version of Part 2, all the excised gore shots were literally thrown out after the MPAA had it's say. The only scene of said clipped violence was this infamous still:

I had said this in a different thread a while back... I haven't bought any of the films on Blu-ray yet... waiting at least for a 1-8 box set...

But, IF Jason X came out on Blu, I would buy that as a standalone.

I do already own Freddy vs Jason... but since it straddles both I hope they don't put it in a box set.

Good! Now put them in one set (like the new DVD set they released with the hockey mask), and throw in Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X for completist sakes.

well now since all the Friday the 13th movies are now under the same studio - the latter two films being included would make logical sense.

as for Jason Goes to Hell - the unrated cut - I think the bisection of the lass straddling the guy in the tent is by far the nastiest death in the entire series

I would love a box set but, I will take singles as well. Maybe Warner will even give them some slipcovers if they are released individually.
