There is a new Jason movie in the planning stages....

This one will have Jason fighting Tommy Jarvis..
Corey Feldman will be reprising the role of Tommy Jarvis who he played back in:Friday The 3th:The Final Chapter and a brief cameo in Friday The 13th: A New Beginning..

Barney Cohen the writer for The Final Chapter is also on board as well.
They are waiting for the green light to start filming...
With a possible 2014 release if greenlighted..

seriously, though. With the last one, I thought it was a reboot. Can they really go back and make a "XIII"? and bring characters back from pre-reboot films?

I think there is already another thead about this. Either way though I HIGHLY doubt this movie comes to fruition. Im not sure how they will bring Jason back to the big screen, rest assured they will, but it wont be this ridiculous concept.

yeah this sounds more like a filmmakers wish project that studio wont actually greenlight.

Agreed... I don't see how this even gets past the secretary's desk... I'd love a new Jason flick, I really would but not this trepid idea of a movie....

Personally This is the Jason movie I've wanted for years. The first 4 films forming a linear story culminating in little Tommy Jarvis killing Jason and having that blank evil look in his eyes was fantastic. Starting in part V they just needed to put another 13th out in thetres to cash in, and not doing what they should have with the story. Then retconning Jarvis in V to VI and deciding uber Zombie Jason was the way to go. Don't get me wrong I love black blooded supernatural zombie Jason, but I would love another grounded pyschopathic Jason film with Tommy Jarvis picking up where IV ended and ignoring the zombie story similar to Halloween H20 (but of course better writing)

Jason Goes To Hell and Jason X got greenlit, so anything is impossible.

If there is a new F13 movie. It should have a connection with the last one.

Doing one movie in a new series and then going back to a old series seems non sense. I mean they rebooted the series for a reason.

I would say more effort should have been done to make Freddy VS Jason VS ASH

Englund & Campbell are not getting any younger and we really need a proper send off for 80's Horror.

All these remakes have ruined the legacy,They just need to make this then retire all these franchises and look to giving this Generation its own.

Bruce didn't want to do it when he was approached back in 2003/2004, saying he was too old IIRC. Now almost a decade later, the answer is definitely the same.

Ash would turn Freddy and Jason (at that point) into even more of a joke. At least the FvJ restored some respected to the franchise.

That would depend upon which Pinhead you're referring to.... If it's Hellraiser 1-3, Pinhead....yes. Hellraiser 4-9, Pinhead....f**k no!

I never really dug the idea of Ash involved, sure the comic was fun....and I love the Evil Dead movies, but I just don't see the fun in it. Michael Myers was the only one I could see filling in the role. They are the Unholy Trio of slasher movies. The Father = Michael Myers, The Son = Jason Vorhees, and the Unholy Ghost = Freddy Krueger....

and yeah Jason X and Goes to Hell got greenlit, but GtH did have better moments to it and gave us the Krueger ending.... which resulted in Freddy vs Jason, though I read every script considered for it and I don't think we got the best one. We did end up with a credible movie and entry for both. So we can't hate on GtH too much... but if you didn't like FvJ...then that's your call.

Not only that........but while JGTH was kinda out there as far as plot goes, I still thought it was a decent slasher and refreshing in the series. I can understand the flack for Jason X though, and I am not a fan of taking some nice horror franchise and putting them in space ala Leprechaun 4. However to me JTM is the least one in the series. I am a big fan so I like them all but Manhattan had so many things I didnt like and kinda derailed the series. I mean they shot at 7 very good to great films and then Manhattan comes and teeters on the fence especially the ending. I thought after that when JGTH came out it was much better than Manhattan and due to Manhattan's ending where else can u go from there? I think thats why they chose the path they did for JGTH. Got Em!!

I'll tell you this: I really want ONE more Freddy movie before he really gets too old. The nice thing about Freddy is that it's not a very physical role, but nobody can beat Englund at Freddy--that's part of the many reasons why the film that I will not speak of is atrocious.
