Get yourself one of the new 40 gig PS3s next week.

PS3 is one of the better blu-ray players, comes packed in with Spiderman 3 blu-ray and I think you can get the 5 free movie deal too.

It's a great media center as well, it has built in wireless so you can check the internet on your TV, and has constant firmware updates and new features being added regularly.

Oh yeah and it plays games if you're into that. Good games. ;o

Not to mention being a PS3 owner makes the internet seem much more friendly. ;o

Glad to see that you came back. If all is as you say then any implication on my part that your OP was "open water fishing from a moving boat" should not be taken as such.

As we're now less than one month before Black Friday, if you've waited this long to purchase a blu player and saving money is important, waiting another four or so weeks might be to your benefit as well. The current five free movie deal is through the end of January, the PS3 40 gig will be around, but the after Thanksgiving deals migh be the icing on the cake.

If you think the PS3 is the way you want to go but are concerned that they would be sold out after Thanksgiving (it might happen), buy one just before the holiday but don't open it till after you get the chance to see if a bigger, better deal is advertised. You can then trade up if a better holiday deal is offered.
