Do you buy 'Rental Copies'?

I have bought a few from a closing Blockbuster store and really hated that "Rental" it had on the disc and artwork, so will not be buying rental anymore even if was cheap.

I'm happy with rental discs - i just ask to check the disc first. If the cover is dodgy and covered in "Rental Copy" banners i just find a scan or custom cover online and replace it.

As long as the disc is playable and the price is right, I couldn't care less what is written on the disc and artwok. I buy movies to watch, not display. So Istill buy used rentals from the BB closings as the prices drop to where it is a good value.

Just bought Ted and Death at a Funeral both ex-rental from Blockbuster, both been cleaned of finger prints and put into new cases not bothered by the Rental Copy being on the spines or covers, bargain

If it's a one disc release it will usually have identical disc content, although some rental copies will have less extras. With 2 disc retail releases, the rental version will usually only include disc 1. The covers may have alternate artwork, or just the same with a rental logo/strip.

I've had a couple of ex-Lovefilm rentals, where they were disc only (like this), but from what I could tell disc content was identical (& I was able to remove the stickers).

As DaveSimonH said. On occasion the rental versions have a lossy audio instead of lossless, The Spirit is a good example. When Blockbuster was still going I used to pick up a couple of titles every few weeks. They were excellent value and allowed me to pick up titles far quicker than normal.
