Dear god, why?!?
That's entirely the call of the rights holder. If they want to sell the title in different territories they can demand that the licensee in each region lock their release.

$17.48 is a good price for a Scream Factory new release. Pre-order now as the price is sure to increase drastically pretty quickly as this seems to be the case with Amazon lately, specially with SF new releases.

Preferred the original Nosferatu.....or Vampyre for that matter.

I just didn't find Kinski to be overly scary looking.

Default not the best but close :)

[QUOTE=Spooked;8008648]Oh man, the rumors are true!

One of the best, and probably the creepiest vampire film out there.[/QU
the creepiest to me was and still is "Salems Lot",the look of Nosferatu in that movie, make up etc is the best around,a verry underestimated 3 hour movie, and not a moment boring!
But i also love this film with Klaus...as nosferatu, great acting in this, most certainly will buy it if transfer lives up!

That's a great price. Blind bought this and Sleepaway Camp ($20.99).

I've never seen this adaptation, but I've heard pretty much all good things about it, so I'm really excited to get it

I pre-ordered it when it was still at the $17.48 price point. That news makes me quite happy. Now I'm just hoping all the contents from the Anchor Bay release make the transition.

It's really good. They use the Stoker names instead of the Murnau names. There are some scenes that aren't from the original, but I'd rather them not pull a 1998 Psycho.

Also, it probably has one of the most unique soundtracks I've ever heard.

It's gone up since then. The initial price was $17.48.

Same thing happened with Sleepaway Camp. The price jumped up after the listing went up.

I wonder what the new artwork will be. I love that SF does it that way. New and vintage on the same cover. That's the gold seal for a badass company that cares about its releases.

I love the soundtrack. It's from a band called Popol Vuh. Definitely worth getting and listening to with headphones on.

I bought it from itunes a few years ago. I lost it when my ipod stopped working. I'll pick up the CD this time. The scenes with Bruno Ganz walking around the empty castle has some awesome synth style music.

I don't think this is going to be one of the Collector's Editions, meaning we probably won't see commissioned artwork.

I'm ultimately fine with that, since I've always loved the theatrical art for the film.

EDIT: Nevermind, Cliff more-or-less confirmed what I suspected. I should really reload these threads before I try to post; this has been happening more and more frequently as of late.
