Got Deep Throat, Fritz the Cat, and Shaft's Big Score! Haven't seen them, but they look interesting.

Still alot of good stuff though.

•Days of Heaven
•Deer Hunter
•Gates of Heaven
•Halloween
•The Fury
•Superman
•Midnight Express
•Autumn Sonata
•The Driver
•36th Chamber of Shaolin
•The Last Waltz
•Dawn of the Dead

...and many others.
I have already seen Halloween, Dawn, Superman and Deer Hunter(which I hated), but the one film I DO want to see from that year is Invasion Of The Body Snatchers!

So by miscellaneous do you mean we pick a 10th category, or do you mean that those 5 spots can be used for any movies we watch that don't fit into any of the other nine categories?
A MOVIES THAT DON'T FIT EASILY INTO ANOTHER CATEGORY should be a MUST category every single month from here on out!!!

Okay, maybe since I can aim low(er) for 50, I can swing this challenge. I just like how these things force me to not only rid a bunch of stuff in my need to watch pile, but keep seeing new stuff too.

I already have the first 30 movies either on hand or ordered from the library, so I may be off to a rocky start, as I'd have to watch those first...and some won't help for some categories.

I'm gonna go with:

Drama
Horror
Comedy
Sci-Fi
Martial Arts
Erotic Thrillers
Action/Adventure
Five Movies From 1978
Movies I've Never Seen Before
Miscellaneous(I'm gonna name this category Musicals since I have a few coming and a few Blus to watch).

If I can hit 86 last month, 50 should be a breeze!

Really good remake actually. Have you seen the 1993 version? It's been on my rent list for too long now.

(Yay! You didn't swap out Erotic Thrillers!)

I believe so, but I don't remember much about it...thus it will be on my rewatch list soon enough.

Looks like Sci-Fi is looking good, as I just watched Darkman 2, and have 12:01, Rollerball(1975) and Runaway on hold there for pick up Tuesday. Nice.

The only challenge to this list will be the Martial Arts section, as it's really not a favorite of mine at all. Gives me a good reason to finally watch Kill Bill 2 and Enter The Dragon!

Continuing on with:

Haven't seen this since it first came out; I was intrigued to see how the director's cut differs. Not quite as bad as I remember.

4/30 movies so far.

Nice! I got two down.

Last month, Boardwalk Empire helped me not complete the challenge. This month will be The Walking Dead causing trouble. Rewatching season 1 now, and waiting on season 3 to be delivered.

How was Getaway? I am seeing The World's End tomorrow and maybe see Closed Circuit too.

Also I hear ya on the carryover. When I get home from work at 3am, I usually watch a full movie and the a half, either watch the rest before work or the next day. Breaks up films better that way.
