I dont think best buy will get it or walmart in the states.. they usually list steelbooks ahead of time. futureshop is the one that is usually slow in the listing department.

I too just got one off ebay for about $37 plus shipping. Not really a bad price. Second most I've paid for a metallic case movie, second behind my John Carter Viva Case (I know, technically not steel).

What another nightmare. Visited 2 stores, went through 20+ copies to get what I needed. The whole batch has pin sized dents on the bottom.

You are welcome! The Jap one is expensive. You can get the FS one and the artbook and still be cheaper than the Jap one.

I know, but the JP version also has art cards, and I had some other items that I was going to order anyway. So I figured why not!

I have the artbook. It has those blueprints of the Jaegers as well plus posters too.

Nice! I love how those blueprints were used as the disc art for this release. Just a nice little added touch. I know a lot of people don't care about disc art, packaging, etc... but I do, and that's why I'll be owning several copies of this:

AmazonJP steelbook
UK steelbook
US Limited
And I'll probably pick up the 2D, dvd and any other exclusive artwork releases later on.

Just hope the wife doesn't find out!

Yeah, I love the disc art on this as well. If I had the money, I'd go crazy on all the releases too. LOL! I wore my Pacific Rim t-shirt to pickup the SB today. This was easily my favorite movie of the summer.

Yeah I haven't even seen the movie yet, but I've seen enough from trailers, reading and all these great exclusives to know that I don't mind splurging a little on it. Can't wait to watch it! The few BD reviews I've read seem to agree that it's a fantastic release.

Now just to clarify: You already had the artbook, right? The FS version doesn't come with an artbook, does it?

No, the FS SB doesn't come with anything. I have the artbook. I'll post some pictures of the artbook in a few mins, for you. It's a great book.
