Wow, that's crazy it's out of print. Now was the time they should have printed up more copies. It was an interesting movie. O'Herily (spelling), the guy that runs the Silver Shamrock factory from Halloween 3 Season of the Witch, is in this one also. It's a bit silly at times with some of the jokes, so it doesn't take itself too seriously. Reminds me a lot of Dredd 3D, where Dredd has to go up against the dealers.

If your going to buy the first film make sure you get the new master. As for the third film, you are very lucky you have not seen it.
This would have been nice for 3D, but oh well. The action scenes were clear and not very shaky in the film to my relief.

Agreed. I also really enjoyed Robocop 2014. Very cool movie and loved the theme of "Safety versus Freedom" with the robots being argued for the US under Michael Keaton's robot company. Reminds me of another great robot film, where the robots did take over, I Robot. Yeah, Kinneman did a great job here. Along with Keaton, Gary Olman as the scientist, and some funny comments by Samuel L Jackson. Great movie IMO, with some cool action scenes, and Robocop's style and motorcycle were very cool in black with the red visor. He was bullet proof for the most part, but still took a beating. I liked how the movie seemed to be over, but kept going to complete the story. Good stuff IMO.
[Show spoiler]I wish if there is a sequel they'd go back in black instead of the silver they hinted at.

I think the 3D version will be an import hopefully from stores like yesasia.com or something like that.

If this listing can be trusted, it looks like a 3D blu-ray will be released in Australia on June 9th.

I also want a copy of Robocop 2 on Blu-ray.
Couldn't figure out why it was so expensive.
Now I know the reason why: OOP.

Robocop 2 has one of the best surround scenes ever put on Blu-ray.
Robocaine is delivered to an abandoned warehouse, in the back of an 18 wheeler.
The camera filming the scene is at street level.
As the 18 wheeler pulls into the lot, it drives directly over top of the camera and comes to a stop.
Robocaine exists the back of the trailer and heads toward the warehouse entrance, to do some damage.

The surround sound effect is that it "feels" like the 18 wheeler has entered your room and your underneath it.
When the air brakes are applied, it all seems so eerily real.

Robocop 3D Blu Ray from DVDLand. The New Robocop 3D Blu Ray is awesome.

In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy played byJoel Kinnaman is a loving husband, father and good cop. He's critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

You'll love the new 3D Robocop movie on 3D Blu Ray from DVDLand.

Note: All our DVDs are new Australian region 4 DVDs made for Australian DVD players.
I like they're salesman description. Hopefully the 3D is good enough considering it was a reportedly very limited release only for China theaters. I'm guessing there will be other distributors releasing this also, possibly in other Regions compatible with the PS3.

Just a guess, but I bet the conversion is really poor. Done by the Chinese IMAX competitor.

Please please please let this be something we can all get our hands on and please let the 3D be at worst, solid medium. Hell i guess i'll settle for weak, better than no 3D at all. I'm really keen to see if this does turn out to be a genuine 3D blu ray release.

Yeah, hopefully it's playable on various regions in 3D.

The 3D Robocop 2014 conversion would depend on the software used, but more importantly, the time or work force they employed to convert each shot. If they went for weak 3D to keep the budget low, then they wasted their time, but if they went for medium 3D or better, then it was a worthwhile conversion. We'll hopefully find out soon enough.

I wonder if there are any reviews on the 3D conversion?

Thanks for the article CMay. Glad to see their decision to convert it to 3D paid off for them. I hope we get a chance to see it also. If it's worth the 3D.

I think if this one will release in 3D, yesasia or a site like that is the best chance.
Anyone read any reviews on the 3D conversion for the China Theaters?

Sorry to hear about that. Robocop 2014, would have been welcome with a strong 3D conversion, though I wonder how the conversion turned out for China Theaters. Like other China 3D releases, it's possible it will only be available there if they release a version.

I liked this movie so I'll have to settle for a 2D version with no sign of the 3D one so far by the time the release date hits.

So i take it we've resigned ourselves to the fact that Robocop 2014 doesn't look like it will receive a 3D Blu Ray release ANYWHERE . That's a real shame. It's out in the UK today so I'll pick it up but I wish China or somewhere had done a 3D Blu. This movie should have been 3D everywhere from the start anyway.

Was looking forward to seeing Robocop 3D on Blu-ray since I chose to see 300 3D at the theater instead. Will pass on the $13 2D Blu.

I really like this Robocop 2014 movie a lot, so had to buy the 2D version, knowing the China 3D conversion will probably have limited distribution for the blu ray 3D, if at all, and probably cost a lot to import for 3D that I haven't heard any reports about.

This movie would have been great for a strong 3D conversion, but oh well. Any news of a Robocop sequel? That would have been cool, though I would like to see the awesome black gloss robo suit and red visor again. Or make it a yellow visor instead
[Show spoiler] (But I think he'd be silver as suggested by the ending.).

Robocop 2014 is a very cool movie with a great story, good action and great design of the robots. Samuel L Jackson was funny as the news commentator, Michael Keaton as the Business man owner, Gary Olman as the scientist, and Joel Kinneman did a great job as Robocop. The motorcycle is cool and happy they show so much of it in the movie.

Robocop sequel please. Though I wonder if the box office was enough.

This movie is on my long list of movies I would probably only EVER want to see if I can buy/ rent it on 3D blu. Along with the likes of I Frankenstein & Pompeii - which fortunately have had a 3D blu release and thus worthy of a spin. Same with Frozen which is also a movie I wouldn't normally see, but at least I was actually able to import that in 3D at a decent price and give it a shot
