I find this post incredibly funny:

"Hardly anyone in Europe is aware of HD formats anyway. The only reason Blu-Ray sells more presently is because of the PS3. The vast majority of Blu-Ray titles sell on the PS3.

HD DVD players are now coming out which majorly undercut the PS3 and few people outside gamers want to spend the huge European cost for the PS3. Once the cheap HD DVD players flood the market it's game over for Blu-Ray."

Finally they admit that the higher BR software sales are due to PS3.

Btw. European PS3 is € 399,- / cheapest HD player: 399,- No sign of those Crapturer HD players coming to europe anytime soon.

I posted an entire list of sources to back you up.

I don't think they liked it...

I figure the best way to spread the truth and destroy FUD is post on boards like Amazon, where average consumers goto find answers.

HERE's the link. If you aren't busy and want to hand some asses to these ignorant HD-DVD fruit cups, help me out.
I felt embarrased just reading through part of that. You should probably just step away from your keyboard and let it go. I seems like you are taking this thing WAY to seriously.

Either way, do you have a link about Target no longer selling HD-DVD?

And remember...

Yeah, I hate to be the little black rain cloud, but if I were an undecided consumer, I would not go looking for hard data on an Amazon discussion board. Just ignore the FUD; it's not like it's helping them win. You'll live longer, or at least more happily.

And I think regular DVDs actually DO look that bad as what they look like on the demo discs. I didn't even like watching DVDs anymore after I got my Samsung LCD because it was so blurry and grainy. I pretty much stopped until I got my BD player.
I doubt they put it up in all stores but yeah when I worked as a store manager in Austin TX I was amazed how bad things were run. I still remember them trying to tell me DVD was going to back to rental pricing and that's when Blockbuster would be on top again. They were late getting into DVD and it seems they learned their lesson because they have been full steam ahead with Bluray.

I help run 60+ franchise blockbusters and we only have 18 that carry Bluray. It's really expensive to get into this new format. I can't imagine dedicating the floor space for a highdef TV to just show Bluray. If corporate isn't getting $$$ to do this........

The above image is very true. I totally agree and still laugh at it. I just wanted to utilize Amazon's mass exposure to get some facts through to all the mom's and dad's that are going to jump into this war come holiday season.

I have the blockbuster online deal and for $17 bucks I get unlimited Blu-Rays for this price. I know Netflix does the same thing. You can just get the Blu-Rays for the normal price of the service.

uHHHH, aren't you taking part in these "arguments"? Personally, I don't agree with the statement. It's a forum for people to have discussions with others on opinions around the world that they otherwise wouldn't have. Not to mention the fact that he's perfectly right: they're pretty much getting a way with "murder" on those sites unless some of us go over there to post responses to counter the FUD. Isn't that more or less what most of us are trying to do on this site?

Sure, he's a little passionate about it, but don't fault him for it. Instead, applaud him for soliciting the help of the more knowledgable and bringing this to the forum's attention. I mean, we're pretty much, for the most part, preaching to the choir on our forum...

Great thanks...

I wear a size 11 shoe. See I can post irrelevant stuff to.

Why do we keep getting these threads. I don't care what your Best Buy looks like. I don't need a shelf space update for every retail location in the US and Canada.
