And the latest Toshiba HD DVD players already include the first one in the box, so not a lot of reason for those people to buy the box set instead of just the 2nd two. The box set might have been good for them for Christmas presents though.

Is Disney selling a box set of the Pirates movies on Blu-ray? I don't see one on Amazon.

I knew there was something about this that just wasn't sounding like a win/win, that was it, individual SKU's.

Maybe there was a "GE Ultimatum" that came down that said:

"Get Us The Hell Out Of This Bullshit Toshiba Contract!".

It doesn't mean anything. All it is is an acknowlegement that the first 2 have been out for months, and not enough people need to buy all 3 to warrant another SKU

If by "action" you mean the camera shaking all around, then yes.

I'm kidding. I liked it in some ways, although the camera shaking was a little much. Guess I shouldn't complain though since The Kingdom also had some of that camera shaking stuff and I liked it more than Ultimatum.

I don't know about that. There are, what, 800k HD-DVD players (including X360 add-on) out there? Subtracting broken/unused/backup players, that's still at least 200-300k unique HD-DVD owners out there. I don't think either of the first two Bournes sold even 100k, did they? That's still a lot of owners without either of the two. Also, the 3-pack shot up fairly quickly at Amazon rankings. I think there is enough demand to warrant a boxset.

I'm with Darin on this one. It would have made a nice Christmas present (think you have a nephew who just blew his entire savings on the $98 player ), there is really no reason why Universal will not want to sell the boxset. I can just picture Toshiba and M$ begging Universal to not release the boxset ("Look! We'll pay Amazon to sell all three together, so you'll still get the money! Please, no single SKU...") to try to help their anemic Nielsen numbers.

enjoy

IF it is a sign, it's definitely NOT clear heh.

I don't think it's a sign... much more likely a play for a Nielson win... good luck though, isn't that the week with all 5 Harry Potters, not to mention blu-exclusive High School Musical 2? May not even need a BOGO sale to win that week.
