I mean, I actually only own two of these movies so if consider buying them, but to those who already own most and for those of us who like our Steelbook artwork to have some thought put into them it's a bit of a bummer.

But that leads to another thing, why release these if you aren't going to add all the Bells and whistles. I know we don't know all the full details yet but I would hope Prometheus includes the 3D version and Wolverine the extended version. If not... What's the point?
Easy money maker and they know it.

Has anyone been able to preorder this online? I've tried a couple times, but when I go to "complete order" all 10 disappear from my cart and I get kicked to the main page??
Is this how Target combats hackers? Making their site so senseless that everyone loses interest?

Edit: Yay, 4th time is the charm, of course I had to call...but it netted me a $5 off $50 coupon, so after Red Card discount: $130. Quite happy.

the sad thing is with some people on the forum that is the case, even if they already own or don't like the movie, if it is being released in a metal or steelbook case they have to own it

What is wrong with that? If you have the money then by all means buy it. They could just sell their amaray version.

Would it really kill FOX to use just one of their Alien rereleases to show off the original poster artwork?!

Pass.

this is the reason that the companies keep doing it. if no one double, triple, or dipped how many extra times, companies wouldn't do it since they would know no one would buy them.
When you sell the amaray version, if its a movie that has been out for a long time you are no way going to get what you paid for it, so you are most likely going to lose money on the amaray version and then spend more on the steel or metal pack version

So it is a win-win situation. The companies profit from it and the consumers are happy because they were able to get what they want which is to double or triple dip.

For me, I will try selling the amaray version not because I want to recoup the cost but because I want to get rid of it.

I love how we are getting so many of these.. I wish they were "steelbook" over any other but at least we are getting them. I wish the artwork was also different than the amray release. I am gonna try to pick all of these from Target!

Normally I'd be all over the Fight Club MetalPak, but thankfully I already have the far superior play.com steelbook (which also is OOP).

Will probably just double dip on Robocop depending on the price.

Just wondering if X-Men FC, X2, and X-Men Origins were submitted to the DB? I didn't see them with the rest.

Really? I didn't see them listed on their site. I thought it kind of odd, that we got the other X-men/X-men related releases, but not part 1 & 3.

every single target.com product page will always say not sold in store until it's released and actually available in stores. the product info says it will be online and in store but both are limited.

I'd assume npt because it was only on the 3D version, and they want people to pay for the more expensive one

I only saw a few when I searched "only at Target" but then specifically searching for them, they came up. I didn't think it was so odd, I just figured they gave us the best X-Men movie and the best Wolverine movie. I'd like to have them all to have a full set, like with Resident Evil (until the day 5th came out and I went to the store to get it, they told me it wouldn't be out until Monday, then Monday came around and they told me they put them out Friday, clearly after I left and brought it up. idiots!). but I personally hate the new X-Men covers, so I'd only want First Class and The Wolverine, but I can't justify paying that much for just the metalpak case.
