I pre ordered the Amazon.de version, I can live with 'Rise Of Electro' under the title, artwork is poor & with HMV being 2D only I really can't be bothered to cancel the order & traipse in my local HMV...

German version is 2D only aswell ...but I read sony want to release 13 different releases of the movie ...so there is a chance for a 3D Steelbook

13 different releases? per country or per region?

i could understand a blu-ray 2d/3d combo, a 2d only blu ray and DVD only. but that's 3 versions.

are they going for 2D/3D/DVD/Digital, 2d BD Steelbook, then blu-ray 2d/3d combo, a 2d only blu ray and DVD. that's still only 5...

i don't get how they could do 13 in 1 country.

Yeh I figured as much but without the lure of the extra disc or differing artwork the HMV release just has no pulling power for me. Find it really odd how Sony have dragged their feet over this considering we've had other steelbook releases before some films have hit the big screen!

Just pre-ordered this from HMV still dissapointed that it is not 3D. I got the 1st one from HMV before as well 2D only luckily I got a free 3D copy from sony and put this in the SB

Anyone hear anything else from any other countries that might do a 3D SB?

The German Steelbook says it has a bonus BD. Do we get that in the HMV version or is it only one disk ?

Also is the German bonus disk content new stuff so from one of the US retailer exclusives like with Noah or just content moved from the only disk used in the UK and US releases.

That's a good point actually. Does anyone know the exact content of this? HMV haven't said if it's 1 disc, 1 disc plus DVD, 2 discs etc

I presume the German steelbook's bonus disk is the one Target have in the US.
Would be nice to know if we get this from HMV

The German edition is working out at just over £19 delivered to the UK. So any further price drop on that, and I'll be buying it over the HMV version.

Ah, my apologies! That's interesting then, thanks for the info. I'll probably wait until release myself, and then just go for the cheapest version.

The Taiwan version available at YesAsia has region free 3D and 2D discs included. The down side of this, is that it is $US62.49, but that includes shipping. Artwork on their site is not final, but will probably be the same as the rest of the world.

http://www.yesasia.com/global/the-am...0-en/info.html

Another Asian website KimchiDVD, have the 3D, 2D SteelBook for $US40.99, but that price doesn't include shipping.

Sony doesn't region lock their discs. So probably no.
