First actual pics of the steelbook from HMV Facebook page..... Did they mis-calculate the inner dimensions, that looks weird.

Well at least my GB members can cover that up with a fab lenticular cover.

Comes with free exclusive poster....

OoOooOO!
Depending on the artwork I may have to get this over the standard 3D. If it's 2D and the artwork is stunning I'll go for it over the standard 3D amaray. Then again, who knows what the 3D slipcover will end up looking like. It's all very mysterious......

Even though the first film steelbook wasn't 3D I did a custom job on the case and have both the 2D and 3D discs included.

As I said over at HDN:

I went into my local HMV today to pre order X-Men. I asked about Spider-Man and no steelbooks came up on his database when he searched. Only the 2D and 3D amarays.

Until some sort of physical evidence emerges (like the pre order poster X-Men has) I wouldn't get to invested in this.

I'm sure there will be a steelbook of it somewhere if it's not HMV. Can't wait to see what artwork they would be using! Day 1 purchase.

It is strange how after well over a month after release there 'appears' to be little sign of a UK steel for this considering that more often than not you can pre order steelbooks/normal DVDs/Blu Rays before the film has even reached the big screen. I've pre ordered the Amazon.de but remain hopeful.

Very strange as I rang HMV today and it's on their system showing at £21.99

I think it depends on which HMV you go to. I rang Lincoln and they told me £3 deposit and no 3d disc for X-Men. I then went into the shop itself and pre-ordered X-Men and was told it did have 3d disc and £5 deposit.
I enquired about Spiderman 2 and was told no steelbook on their system. So, I'm assuming it entirely depends on what shop you go into and who you talk to.

Provided this is 3D, i'm very tempted, i loved the movie. Don't have the Steel of the first though so might skip this for the sake of consistency.

I went into the HMV in Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre yesterday and they refused to check their system as "it was too early for it to be on the system"...

but the weird thing is, they are taking pre-orders for x-men days of future past and that has just been released into the cinema... not particularly great staff I must say.
