I think the DVR numbers for Minority Report will be a clear cut sign if people were actually watching or not (on delay specifically since most don't watch live)
The problem is that neither Lookinglass nor Lucifer will really garner better ratings.

This was pretty bad. It just SCREAMED "look it's the future!" every chance it got. Weak acting. Unpolished script (terrible one-liners). Nothing to see here.

Do DVR numbers really matter anyway? I mean from the perspective of advertisers, don't they just assume people will fast forward through the advertisements when watching on DVR?

More networks are looking at DVR numbers these days.

But key thing to note. In order for DVR numbers to count, you have to watch within 7 days and you cannot fast forward through the commercials. I know that defeats the purpose of a DVR, but that's how it works. There are people who watch shows on time delay who don't fast forward through the commercials.

That's why networks prefer more viewers to watch on demand because most of the shows force you to watch ads.

This article explains how the data is collected.

Watching this right now, it's at Wilmer Valderrama's first appearance. I can't take him seriously in anything after That '70s Show... If I like this and continue watching, I hope I can get past always picturing him as Fez. lol

Was really looking forward to this, and was somewhat let down

It rushed to get to the procedural part (like Limitless in a way, but at least that one kept me engaged and had pretty good acting)
Hard to look past Fez tbh
Nothing amazing about the script, screenplay or dialogues. All felt very flat.
Visual were good though

but the worst (for a procedural)

The female lead isn't very good at all imo (and to me has this weird likeness to Maya Rudolph, which was very strange), and was possibly chosen for some other "attributes"... My Wife and I laughed many times at both the camera angle shots taken at her outfit-with-tactical-holes (one in particular was a close-up shot starting on her rack, and going down to finish on her crotch as she was crouching), and her "jog" in the park gave us a chuckle (something else was "Jogging" for sure. She needs better sports bra).

I guess that Fox knows what's 'up".

In the end ... the whole time I was thinking "We could have been watching Almost Human instead of this" ...

What's with the William Gibson reference in a Philip K. Dick universe?

I'm referring to the mention of "The Sprawl".

Minority Report got a 0.9 rating last night, which would get cancelled on every major network. It's possible Fox could air all the episodes they have just because they don't have much to replace it with, but it's got no chance at a second season.

This has to be the biggest disappointment of the Fall. The show had a huge pedigree being based on a hit movie and having Spielberg attached as EP. The bad word of mouth and reviews of the Pilot episode must have turned off many people.

I really like this show but wow are those bad ratings. I just can't catch a big break with a majority of newer shows I actually enjoy.

They probably should have made it a summer show which would go with the film as it was summer time release. I think too many other shows on the same time that have too big an audience for this show to do better.

It's already two episodes in and I've already dropped this series. Limitless, Blindspot and Lucifer look more interesting than this piece of crap. Some movies just can't cut it as a television series. Where it goes wrong is that without the pre-crime aspect of the series, it fails. What's also a problem is that in the second episode, they introduce the successor to the pre-crime idea. It's ridiculous. Even the writing is horrible, having Blake interfere with Vega when she's out with Dash. It's like the writers need to add some more time to the episode so they added a new scene to make up for the timeslot.

That wasn't even the worst part.
Literally, while in line to get in the club, she said out loud playfully playing coy "Well, You're a Precog!" That'd be enough to attract anyone's attention and snap a pic to do some research, specially when you can do that with a simple pair of contact lenses...

FFS ...

Giving this show another 1-2 eps, but so far it's been pretty bad.

The series just doesn't interest me. By the second episode, I expect a series to keep my interest. But it's not just the direction of the series but it's also a combination of the acting and writing. Something, I can't quite put my finger on, just isn't managing to capture my attention.

This +1, it looks glossy and the SFX are great but the characters are horrible and very unlikable. I don't want to spend a minute with them if they're real

I enjoy the characters more in this than Blindspot, another show I like. But everyone seems to love that one.

Not only was the episode order dropped (only a handful of episodes for the first season) but all indications are that the series won't return for additional episodes. Even those websites that are tracking renewals and cancellations have this show placed on the moderate list for possible cancellation. Blood and Oil is another show that's on the list for possible cancellation.

Me too.

I also don't understand those kind of people who can't do anything but going to a shows thread and bash them. So many shows I don't like at all yet I am not on their threads clogging them with show hate posts.

I was expecting Limitless to be close to cancellation. I'm just not impressed with how the Brian Finch character seems to be portrayed.

Amusingly, this has just gone up for pre-order (it's a DVD, obviously):

Looks like Fox is in a rush to be rid of this show (it's CBS/Paramount over here), but I assume there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of a BD release, considering how it tanked.
