I like 3D, but passive glasses need to be mainstream.
Passive glasses are why a lot of people hate 3D and are what causes headaches in most people watching 3D.

I am one of those. I get a migraine (and I don't get migraines) if I attempt to watch 3D with passive glasses which is why I can't do 3D cinema at all and can only view 3D at home.

That's interesting. I can't imagine what passive glasses would do physiologically to cause a headache. All they do is filter polarized light like sunglasses. I'm curious what your headache-inducing passive 3D cinema experiences were like and what movie you saw and how long ago and what the projection quality was like.

My understanding is that the "vergence-accommodation conflict" causes most 3D-related headaches, along with dimmer images, ghosting, shaky cam, and other sorts of monocular eye strains, exacerbated by 3D.

It will most likely get a U.S. Blu-ray 3D since it's associated with Marvel.
Agreed. Good mostly medium 3D in Big Hero 6 for certain, but could have been great along the lines of Madagascar 3 3D.

Thumbs up Big Hero 6 3D?

Any word on this. I know the USA is not getting a release but I haven't found anything overseas either and the release is 3 months away.

Also no word of a steelbook or a collector's edition. I love this movie and the 3D was fantastic.

No word on any 3D versions internationally. Mostly due to the fact that it still has to open in a lot of territories including most of Europe.

A poster on another site claims that Big Hero 6 3D will be out in Spring/Summer of 2015. This same poster stated that Frozen 3D was getting a US release in April 2015. Time will tell.

I'm ok with getting it overseas as Disney releases are usually region free. Thanks! I can't wait to rewatch it at home.

I just don't see Disney still completely dropping their 3d bluray releases, especially with the marvel 3d bluray releases sill going strong and the fact that they've been selling for so cheap on their release weeks . Thor 2, Cap 2, and guardians of the galaxy 3d all had low release week prices imo. If anything Disney will start adopting 3d marvel release model for their own studio films imo

Above is the original thread of Big Hero 6 3D for the 3D forum with a good number of pages in progress.
But yeah, I'd be surprised if Disney brings this onto blu ray 3D in the US.

Unhappy

Big Hero 6 will likely be an import blu ray 3D for the US audiences given Disney's track record lately.

3d streaming won't make money for Disney or make consumers happy unless every consumer has google fire imo lol

It's funny how it's up for Preorder in the US and not even released yet in the UK. Really excited for this one, looks great.
