Totally agree, the spin from these guys and forum posters is now becoming so ridiculous, everyone but the most hardcore HD-DVD supporter must be questioning the formats future.

Well I just sent an email to customer support telling them that they should fire the ******* who wrote that piece of trash. I dont care if he owns that site or not. He is an idiot and if my email makes his employees laugh at him behind his back it's good enough for me. This guy deserves no respect at all.

Its simple. Hes taking something, the war, and putting HD DVD on the side of whats viewed positively now. And BD on the bad guy role. Hes trying to associate a good vs evil mentality with something in politics.

This is what happens when the ONLY thing he can say is "HD DVD sold well last week"....okay, a REAL journalist or columnist or analyst would actually share those numbers that were "well".....

If anything this proves HD DVD is in trouble....rather than taking a rumor and spinning it as fact or even trumpeting ACTUAL numbers, Enderle has now resorted to drawing insane parallels which not only do not exist, but he is only drawing them as a last ditch effort to confuse or trick any reader of his into this terrible good vs bad analogy with a mishandled war that most americans can now agree upon.

haha, this guy is a trip.

I think it's funny and sad at the same time.

The guy is obviously a short-sighted MS stooge that hates anything that is not MS-controlled, including Linux (open source) and Apple.

Since Blu-ray is not HD DVD, which MS supports, he's going to say anything he wants about it...

Biased is part of his resume...

I mirror your feelings completely.

Wow, thats a fantastic idea!! Putting this on the news would really bring it home as to how insane the HD DVD fanatics are! No matter how you feel about the Iraq war comparing it to a format war where no lives are lost is insane and I can only hope that movie enthusiasts who've yet to jump on the HD bandwagon will feel the same way. Let me know how this works out man!

Guy is off his rocker. I guess there is no positive facts left to support the Hd-dud camp?

I disagree with what he said but he is allowed to have an opinion, it is freedom of speech, and it is protected by the consitution. It is not really him that is scary but his following and people agreeing with him that is the real horror.

I agree, tasteless article and willfully blind to the fact that Blu-ray is kicking HD-DVD's behind.

This is the same Rob Enderle who has predicted the demise of Apple more times than any other tech "insider" since 1995. Found that on Wikipedia, with a link to this article:

This is the same dude that declared the Zune as the iPod killer, and is already declaring victory for the Zune II.

I knew this guy was insane well before I read his disgusting article. I have family that has done 3 tours of duty in Iraq and his comments are completely unfounded and totally uncalled for.

I'm not surprised at his anti-Blu-Ray/anti-Sony stance, since he is as pro-Microsoft as Bill Gates. He is clearly just another bored pawn that wanted to take a jab at the President and the war, even though his analogy made no sense whatsoever.

The guy at my local Target store told me they sell about 100-150 Ipods a week compared to just 10-15 Zunes if they are lucky!!!!!!!!!!
