I'm not concerned. Besides Lyris/Mr. MacKenzie working on this, the supplements don't have to be super HD with high bitrates, nor lossless sound. 20gb or so for the feature, plus 4-5gb for extras? More than enough.

Hey all
The extras are going to be in HD, but treated with high quality pre-processing and encoded using the world's best AVC encoder (x264) with manual adjustments. So plenty of space left for the film to breathe.

A lot of people think BD25 single layer is a bad thing, but that's just because they associate BD25 with the early crap transfers that appeared on BD in 2006 that were done using MPEG-2.

Isn't x265 better?

So I'm looking at disc specs again and this is just the integral/complete cut of the film. So I could get rid of the 2nd Media Blasters DVD release, but if I want the shorter/censored U.S. 'Schizoid' cut, I'd still keep the original Media Blasters DVD (the 2-disc one with the VHS-sourced Italian cut).

I hope the SD sourced 2 minutes are color corrected to match the rest and most importantly, free of interlacing/conversion/combing artifacts...

Of course. I think you will be pleasantly shocked at how they look.

It's not cut together like this, put it that way:

Thanks. It is mind blowing how many times this very thing gets messed up. Look at the releases of 'Four Flies on Grey Velvet' for example. Or when combing/interlacing artifacts appear on the SD footage that was upscaled to 1080p to piece into the rest of the picture, yet you see none of these issues on the DVD playback upscaled by the player to a 1080p set.

Jared - it's probably been stated before, but I just wanted to say that your regular, informative interactions with this board are greatly appreciated. I abhor Facebook (and will never have an account there), which seems to be the go-to place for a lot of information, so I always enjoy getting the MM scoop here.

No problem!

It's a shame we rely on FB so much to get information out there, but it really is the best place to get information out to the public.

One project we have on tap for this year (hopefully) is to build a new website that will be a home page, blog, store, and archive all-in-one. Hopefully that will make it easier for all those who don't want to put up with social network bullshit.

Thanks for your support!

I think they were only listing 250 of the remaining as the second batch.

To clear up any confusion ...

There are 999 numbered copies. I put 500 up for sale to begin with. That sold out rapidly so I put another 300 up. Those are now sold out.

So we have 199 copies remaining (minus contributor copies, etc) that will be put back up for sale early in January after I have mailed the first 800 copies out. Which is going to be quite the task!

And there is also the retail version, which is unlimited. It has a spiffy cover that some like more than either cover on the LE. It's up for pre-order now at Diabolik, Amazon, etc.

So - not sold out! No need for hand-wringing. Plenty of opportunities to get this one.
