No, because VAT is a percentage, so if Amazon's price is £59.99, the price for those who don't pay VAT is automatically £49.99. Since a drop from £66.83 to £59.99 is only £6.84, I could easily see Amazon's price dropping to, say £49.99 or even slightly lower. But if the Amazon price is £49.99, then the price after VAT is removed is £41.66, which if you add in the £3.08 shipping charge to the States for one video, is £44.74. Similarly, even if Amazon were to only drop the price to £55.00, it would still total out to £45.83 + £3.08, or £48.91 shipped.

And you don't have any guarantee that Arrow will honor the shipping error for October pre-orders, since the glitch will surely be fixed by October, anyway.

Packaging looks like one of those felt boxes Mondo Vision use on their Zulawski special editions?

Pre-ordered on Amazon. I'm properly stoked for this one.

Considering the shipping error has been around for a while now (anyone know how long this error has been around?) I would be shocked if they retroactively go back and cancel all preorders that had one item and free shipping they would basically be returning a huge amount of money that is already in their hands.

I'm not paying 70 quid for 3 films I hope it comes down in price.

I looked at all the comments on the Arrow facebook page : many have asked if the movies (espcially the third) are Uncut : Arrow never cared to answer this specific questions. But very keen on answering others.

So i'm wondering. Do they know themselves if it's uncut? Or do they don't want to answer because it's gonna be the cut one?

If these are NOT the uncut versions, I'll pass.

That's because I think it's safe to assume that the original film will be the MPAA R-rated version (which Clive Barker has long preferred) and the second will be the US unrated cut that all the other BDs (except the censored German one) use.

The only question is what cut of the third film we will get. I would be shocked if it is the 91-minute R-rated version. We know Paramount accidentally mastered the additional 2 minutes of gore and sex into their 2006 "R-Rated" US DVD, giving us the 93-minute version that has become standard on DVD around the world. But we also know that this isn't the true Director's Cut, which runs about 97 minutes, and has only been issued on PAL DVD in the UK by Anchor Bay, and via the uncut German BDs from StudioCanal. In both of these releases, additional plot scenes (and one brief shot of nudity) were added back in from a VHS source, which was blown-up and cropped to fill a 16:9 image.

My hope is that Arrow have somehow convinced Paramount (as I believe they hold the film elements) to provide the missing footage for their 2K restoration. Otherwise, I don't see the real point of including the third film in this box set (especially from a marketing standpoint), but that's just me.

A special edition of the all the other sequels would obviously be called THE BROWN BOX.

Haven't seen Hellraiser or the sequel since VHS probably. Remember liking but not loving, but I am more into horror now than I was then. Never saw the third, sounds like it's a coaster anyway. I went ahead and pre-ordered but might change my mind. We shall see!

Sexy set, in any case.

Definitely interested.

Will wait for it to come down to a more decent price then pick it up when it's cheap.

Holy Shit this amazing! I couldn't have asked for anything better than Arrow to handle these movies.

I wish it was a more complete set, like the Shout! Halloween one, or at least include up to Bloodline, which would at least put all the theatricals in there. You gotta think there was some desire for it. What with the Doc on this talking about Inferno, Hellseeker, Deader and Hellworld, and having art based on Pinheads look from Bloodline on the cover...
I wonder, was it just a rights issue?

Either way, this looks ****in gorgeous! Can't wait.

I'm sure if it wasn't for rights and licensing they would have put them all in there, even if later ones weren't fully restored. As it is, these were the ones they could get I would assume.

Part of me wishes they just did one and two, but I would guess three adds to the price without adding much to the cost.

The addition of Part III will be the selling point for lots of buyers though as that movie has been shafted in lots of regions. It has never been released in the US.
I hope Arrow does a great job on these.

Seems likely. Do Miramax licence out their titles over here?

If this is successful (I think it will be) and Arrow can get the rights, maybe we'll get another box of the rest? It can be a definitive collection over two box sets. I wouldn't mind using existing HD masters for the rest either, diminished returns for a less loved set of films after all.
