Seems like Krampus looks a little bit like "The Village" monster
And I want to say the cinematography looks beautiful in those photos
And like someone said, I also love the use of "practical effects" , it makes the movie looks so much more credible

I adore Trick R Treat, so a Christmas version of that kind of movie is way up my alley.

Dougherty really knows how to make a holiday film atmospheric.

In that interview I posted. He said Halloween and Christmas were his two favorite Holidays. And its a lot harder to make a Christmas horror themed than a Halloween one. But using something such as the Krampus. Where its not to known. It gives them more leeway.

The more I watch the trailer the more I want to see this. It does indeed have an old school Amblin vibe like Poltergeist had a baby with Gremlins. It just looks like a fun movie. And I'm glad to see Emjay Anthony getting a nice big role again after having loved him in Chef.

It will most likely be a PG-13 in keeping with the Amblin vibe. Not totally for sure, but it seems to be shaping up for that. We'll see the closer it gets to release. I personally don't care either way because I'll watch it no matter what.

Looks like this wont be the only Krampus film around. There is also A Christmas Horror Story coming out in October and also features everybody's favorite Christmas demon and William Shatner!

Well, this movie was a must-see for me for me. But if it is going to end up being PG-13 then I might have second thoughts. From the things that I saw in the trailer and the fact that Krampus is supposed to be a demon thingy that feeds on bad kids, I just don't see how PG-13 could do the story justice.

It's gonna be like the style of Amblin films from the 80's. Like Gremlins and Poltergeist.

Have you heard of Tales Of Halloween? It is supposed to be coming out on bluray (region b, German) in Mid-October. It has English soundtrack. It sounds very similar to Trick r Treat to be honest. It's ten stories split into roughly ten minute segments I understand.

Director's intention rated R.

Universal's goal = PG-13

PG-13 will equal an automatic wait to rent at Redbox.

Yeah, cause blood and gore automatically makes a movie better.

If most people never knew this. They would never know The Conjuring was R rated. Because there is nothing in that which screams R.

Wrong. It was an R rated film and you could feel it in the TONE and it was one of the biggest and best reviewed horror films in years.

Which is why Universal should not be afraid of an R rating
