Warner! Go Blu and this won't happen!
neither do I.m I bought 2 HD DVD to test how good it is. Never again I will buy HD DVD. my HD DVD drive (comes with my laptop) is only used to play SD DVD now, saving the work of my internal (BD) drive.

I would say 3.5. Someone else may say I'm too harsh or not harsh enough. The opening scene is by far the worse part of the film.

The second one I just finished watching and it is MUCH better. Probably 4.0. Will watch the rest this week. I figure Azkaban and the rest should be in the 4.5 range. We'll see.

Not regretting buying them if that is what you are asking.
I'm more let down by the fact the first two films have way smaller cases than 3,4 & 5.

Another gripe in general is look at all the damn languages on there there is like 13 5.1 EX soundtracks. Come on warner lets start putting some Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA on there. I know there is PCM on there but I would think you could get at least one more advanced audio codec on there in the space all of the 5.1 EX soundtracks take up.

This is a complete disaster. Warner should recall these discs if they couldn't QC the packaging correctly. My Goblet of Fire was HD-DVD. You don't even have it. I think I will watch these and if Warner doesn't issue a replacement I will take it to Best Buy and exchange it for the correct disc.

Katherine, only the 5th one, the others seem weaker in PQ. Still alot better than some BD's in my collection (Hitch, Oceans 11, XXX), but the 5th is very good in the PQ department. Hey, anyway, you should be driving to MD to find my order from last week!! J/K

So people don't think the wrong thing about Katherine, she mailed out my order(Dec 1st) for all new releases for the 4th and the post office lost them through no fault of hers. When she checked the tracking it showed the package in a post office(probally a hub) in MD, I live in VA, for about 7 days in a row being scaned over and over yet going nowhere. Oh well, stuff happens. Scott

And if you live in the US, Blade Runner isn't due out until next week.

I'm going to say that the biggest problem is trying to squish 3 hours into sub-30GB. If I remember correctly, the first 3 lack TruHD on HD DVD, but even so, you need more space

That said, the first hour of the first one I've watched looks approx what I saw theatrically
