Given all the good reviews this is getting, I'll definitely be checking this out. It might have to wait until Blu-ray if this doesn't go as wide as some of A24's filmes, but this is no longer flying underneath my radar at least.

Reviews are very good, but still not sold at seeing this, at least in theaters. I don't mind gory or violent films per se, but don't really like films with a lot of brutal violence or emphasis on pain/suffering, which based on the trailer seemed to be what the film was focused on.

Is this just one of those films that is simply not playing in Canada? Because it was been released wide in the US right? Yet it appears to not be playing anywhere up here. It's an odd thing that happens on occasion, I distinctly recall having to go to the States to see Sabotage.

Oh. I guess it makes more sense to look at the official than Wikipedia, as I was doing. Thanks. Can't wait.

I saw this a couple days ago and I don't get all the hype. It was ok. Certainly it was well-acted(aside from Stewart's accent), the visual FX were solid(lots of blood and guts in this one), and it was wisely brief(less than 90 minutes before the credits rolled).
But you'd think with the reviews it's getting that this was some sort of Top 10 of the Year contender. Personally I think it's something you rent on a Saturday night and watch with a few drinks in you. |

And to top it off a notable character is wearing a watain shirt. ![]() 7/10 for me. When the blood does kick into gear, it's done pretty well. |

I'm excited to see this but the only thing that gives me somewhat of a pause is that I'm not sure just how hardcore the music in it is. I hate screamo/metal. I'm not 100% sure what kind of music it is. I haven't bothered to seek out any of the songs. Really hope it's tolerable.
