ok, no problem. i remember how it was my first day on this forum. it was not that pleasant and had alot of ball busters for some questions i had asked.

Here is a general rule of thumb. If you have to ask you know that it is wrong. Most people are just looking for justifaction for it.

It is stealing. No need to explain it as I would only be preaching to the choir here.

I know someone who tried returning a burned out X-box. He peeled and replaced all the stickers on the good unit with the broken one. Only he did not replace one which he either missed or didn't consider important.

Well, on the return they inspected all the stickers as they had a way of checking them. That one little sticker refused him the return. While I did not applaud him trying such a thing I thought it sucked more that Microsofts official policy on this was, "We know they burn out. Buy a new one."

Same thing with the original Apple Ipod. Internal battery won't hold a charge anymore? Apple also said, "Buy a new one." Whoa, this is not a $30 item, it is a $300 item! After creating a blog and getting much attention, Apple started a repair policy. Let's see what they do for the iphone which also has a soldered in battery.

It is these kind of corporate screw jobs which prompt people to become dishonest. If I couldn't update the firmware on my S300 and had to buy a new compatible unit, I would have said, "Screw this" and sold off all my blu stuff.

i was never going to do it, just wanted to see what others thought of the idea. but the holy people came out everwhere they probably would not even do the return anyways. i think if the tv was returned in a sealed box that they would do a credit minus the cost of the player anyways. they would only credit $1900 back.

but if someone were to buy the tv and get the player for free than you could keep the player and sell the plasma on your own, like ebay, craigslist or something. some here would say that is wrong as well, but really its not. the purchase was made and they followed the rules and decided to sell off the tv for cash. you may risk getting a lower amount this way, but you still got the player for free. now tell me is that stealing or dishonest

Once you own it, it is yours to take in the backyard and trash it with a hammer if you wish. Returns for the sake of keeping a freebie is wrong. Now, if you sincerely wanted to keep both but decided the returnable item sucked and returned it, then your conscience is clear if they tell you to keep the freebie.

ya i took a chance and yes people here got all over me about, but as we all know not ever one is perfect and i am totally sure others here have had a thought like this before, so your not all as perfect as you claim to be. i read alot of the threads in here and see all the BS thats thrown around. like ranking on the HD fans or neutral fans, seems very childess to me

i am a blu fan through and through and do no own one HD product, but if some one chooses something, its their choice. If they like it than why should others rank on them for what they enjoy? anyways i dont know how i went off this way. people here should learn not to be so hard on on others, mine was a thought, an idea that i wanted to share. i guess i should have kept my mouth shut...

i, like may others are always trying to find the best deals because i am not like some of the ones here who make big money and can afford 5-6 plasmas, 3 receviers, 2-3 blu ray players and 2 PS3 in their homes. some are lucky i guess. so for me the cheaper it is the better or free is even better. so if i can capitalize on something without hurting anyone than i say go for it.

i hear ya there, i mean if i bought it and decided to sell it on ebay or something, is that so wrong? am i stealing then?? as so many said to me before...
