If you have an HDMI TV but not a reciever yet, you can always send the video feed via HDMI to the TV and just the component audio to your reciever.

When you get an HDMI reciever then you can pass everything thru there.

I was actually wondering something about HDMI receivers...

I recently saw a receiver that had a feature of HDMI 1080p output...

could some of the receivers out there that do HDMI pass-through and not output 1080p... actually downgrade the resolution?...

this was the first time I saw a receiver with "1080p output" as one of the features on the pass-through...

anybody know about this?...some people might be having their PQ sacrificed for great audio....which isn't bad...but still isn't 1080p on a big screen...
