Koyu Ohara's Seifuku Yurizoku: Warui Asobi (制服百合族　悪い遊び) does the same formula much better, with heart and characterization... sadly no dvd / bd in the existence.

According to French magazine Les Années Laser, French editor Elephant Films will release a 10-BD... collection? ...box-set? titled Nikkatsu - une histoire érotique du Japon (Nikkatsu - An Erotic Story from Japan or Nikkatsu - An Erotic History of Japan) in May*. No further information has been given, but I guess it's a bunch of roman porno films.

At least it means these films can be licensed by non-Japanese (i.e. American, British, ...) companies.

* It could have been postponed, since it doesn't appear on Elephant Films May release schedule.

as STAR OF DAVID HD Transfer was licenced to Austria (which is non-Japanese territory also) this was never a question, or was it? (mind you, it DID stir lots of trouble with pressing plants all over Europe who denied doing it... none of the other Nikkatsus are that "offensive" i think)

I think anything with materials originating from Japan, especially Japanese films, are still a toss up for licensing. While Japanese studios appear to have been comparatively generous in recent years, especially in the UK and other Region B territories, it's entirely possible that many licensors are still charging high fees, if they are letting materials be licensed at all.

Good to see Pink Hip Girl: Proposal Strategy no longer carries an R18 rating... as it should not. It's very much a mainstream youth film (the kind of movie that would get rated 12 in many European countries... R in USA, of course ) even though it was released in the Roman Porno series. (Toshiya Fujita's So Soft, So Cunning is another example of such a film... most people don't know it was a Roman Porno release because Nikkatsu never mentions that these days... which is kind of good because it really shouldn't have been a RP release in the first place).

Lolita Vibrator Torture (licensed by Synapse, absolutely not the be released under that title ) should give it a good run for its money.

The rest of Nikkatsu's catalogue... well, there are some nasty titles like Rape! 13th Hour and Zoom Up: Rape Site (both also coming from Synapse) but as for overall controversiality I guess Star of David is pretty hard to beat. None of the other films thought about including Nazi elements

As for Star of David, it's a shame that most Western viewers (partly) miss the amazing cameo with

Based on the caps I'd say that's probably one the old VHS era masters. Hundreds of those have been streaming in Japan since the early 2000s (see some NSFW examples in my past review posts), and some of them have been released on dvd by budget labels but never by major companies (Geneon, Happinet). I'm surprised Synapse would buy / Nikkatsu would sell them one of those old masters that were clearly not made for DVD distribution. Even makes me wonder if Nikkatsu sent them the wrong master by accident...

I hope they release the whole trilogy on bd. I enjoyed the first 2 movies which are ok but the main 2 actresses (kaoru oda and natsuko yamamoto) are amazing. I really hope to find the final movie (directed by Gamerra's Kaneko) one day.

By the way, I'm so curious to know how could you manage to find these movies. Are there any legal platforms to buy/stream Sera fuku yurizoku series ? (I saw dvd imports on amazon/yesasia and the prices are crazy !) It was so hard to find them because there aren't even english titles for these ones.

I'm not sure if it's considered a sequel, but yes, there is a similarly themed film with Oda and Yamamoto, called ＯＬ百合族１９歳 (OL yuri-zoku 19-sai). Haven't seen it but it's available for streaming in Japan.

I admit that Yamamoto is quite cute. She's also in the excellent Fujunna kankei (不純な関係) (streaming and dvd) and the amusing Lolita tsuma: binetsu (ロリータ妻　微熱) (streaming)

I live in Japan so that makes things easier. There's a couple of hundred Roman Pornos available on rental dvd, and approximately 650 available for treaming via DMM (unlimited monthly subsciption for 3000 yen or pay per view for 515 yen per title) (most of those are VHS era masters, though).

(This may be going to the gray area, but I know some people are using DMM from abroad via proxy. Paypal is accepted as a payment method so that should not be a problem. But I can't help you more on this since I've never used DMM from abroad myself). And you need to be able to navigate in Japanese. You can use flawed (missing several hundred titles + erroneously including several non-roman porno titles) but easy-to-use wikipedia page and this website as reference for the titles).

edit: just realized the DMM links I provided probably won't even open without proxy. Sorry about that.

It's certainly a popular title. I like it as well, although I think it's missing the style and bite of the best comparable films (Assault! Jack the Ripper, Woman of the Afternoon: Incite, Rape! 13th Hour).

Watched Women in Heat Behind Bars this week. Pretty much a by the numbers wip flick. Still enjoyable though, and the body cavity search scene where the inmate farts in the guards face did crack me up.

About time, this is the one I've been waiting for. I can't believe they kept the title, the movie lives up to it. More horror/disturbing than anything, if one knows anything about the filmmaker. Hisayasu Sato rules. Hope the transfer is better than what I currently have for it.

LVT is supposed to be out 3/12 and they've also announced Flight Attendant: Scandal for 4/9. I guess the latter is the same as Flight Attendant: Hold Me Like An Animal which they listed in the back of their 2018 product catalog.
