I forgot about SG1 S10.

When does the SG1 movies come out?

Looks like Stargate: Ark of Truth will be released on March 11, 2008
The 97-minute feature will be in widescreen format, with English Dolby 5.1 audio, French and Spanish Dolby Surround audio, and subtitles in English and Spanish Extras have not been unveiled yet.

Stargate: Contimuum look like a relase date in July 2008

If this question was asked a week ago, my answer would have been a strong NO. But, I broke down and bought the anniversary version of The Jungle Book last saturday (Costco) for the pins of Baloo, Mowgli, and King Louie.

My blu-ray collection over the past year (since I got the PS3) has now exceeded 70! ...and it seems likely to grow further, much to the chagrin of my wallet!

It took years just for the Monster Squad to come out on DVD. Who know how long it would take for it to come out on Blu-ray. I needed my 80's cheese now.

I still buy a few DVDs, but only in these circumstances:

1) The title was produced in standard definition, making a Blu-ray release either unlikely or unnecessary (e.g. TV shows like The Simpsons)

2) It was produced in high definition or film, but is not coming to Blu-ray anytime soon, and I must have it now (Battlestar Galactica: Razor, Futurama: Bender's Big Score)

3) It is an older, niche catalog film that is unlikely to see a Blu-ray release for a while, and the DVD is cheap

Otherwise, if both a Blu-ray and DVD are available, I'll take the Blu-ray every time.

Like many others here, once I went Blu, I never went back. I now own 73 Blu-ray movies (http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Elder). I'm doing everything in my power to help end this format war and pray that end arrives soon.

I did buy DVDs after I went hi-def, but I have not done so this year so I voted no. There have been a few that made me go "should I get it" but in the end I did not.

I have completely stopped buying DVD's for a couple of years now in anticipation of the forthcoming bluray technology. I'll try to sell my DVD's little by little at least the big titles to get them back on Bluray

I had to buy Metalocalypse on DVD, who knows when that will hit Blu. That was my only DVD since November 17 2006.

I just can't. First, I have a LOT of dvd's to watch and the difference in quality is just too great although if the new Blade Runner Final Cut were only out in SD, I would buy that one.

When the third Bourne was released and I still had a few slots in my Sony 400 disc sd player, I thought, "well I'll just get this one".

Then I felt really very dirty and I went home and took a shower, fixed a Crown and Coke, lit my pipe and watched one of the newest bogo deals I got from Amazon and I was much better off.
