Is there a big difference in ticket price between regular 2D and 2D Dolby Cinema? What about RealD 3D vs Dolby Cinema 3D, if applicable.

And as far as I can tell, Bridget Jones is not being released in Dolby Cinemas here.

That shows vision and atmos for Ms. Peregrine.

Edit: Plus a movie doesn't need to be vision graded in order to be shown in Dolby Cinema (DC), although movies with vision and atmos are given priority runs (in that order).

As for Bridget Jones: 10,50 euro (2D) vs 15,50 euro (Dolby Cinema 2D)

Is "Inferno" in Vision as well? It is playing in Dolby Cinema rooms in Netherlands, but so was Sully.

"The Magnificent Seven" has an 8ch mix as far as I am aware.

Sully it's not Dolby Vision as far as I know. According to a german website Inferno will be Dolby Vision.

The movie opens 2 weeks earlier in Europe

I guess it's too early to know right now, but I'm hoping Rogue One gets the Dolby Vision treatment. There's a Dolby Vision theater about 2 and 1/2 hours away that I'd love to go to at least for certain events and Star Wars seems like an event to me!

There's no doubt about Rogue One getting a Dolby Vision release: Disney has supported the format from the start and The Force Awakens had a Dolby Vision release last year. No reason to expect something different this year

I kind of assumed as much also, it's probably too early for an official announcement though.

Lucasfilm properties have always been delayed each and every new home video format. They usually wait for a larger base of customers before allowing their films to get released.

The same with most Spielberg films.

Penton shared this article in the Sully thread:

https://news.creativecow.net/story/882896

Quote:
Technicolor LA recently gave Clint Eastwood’s biographical drama Sully the full Baselight HDR colour grade treatment to achieve its pristine look for IMAX.
Quote:
Eastwood and long-term collaborator, Director of Photography Tom Stern shot the film with ARRI Alexa 65 large-format cameras at 6K resolution and finished in 4K, ready for distribution to IMAX HDR theatres.
I don't know if that means it got a Dolby Vision pass. The Dolby page only ever showed Atmos. But we do know it was released in Dolby Cinemas.

Otherwise, you could put it in the secondary list because it did receive an HDR pass, even if it was specifically for Imax laser theaters.

Yes, I will put it in the secondary list. Sully was basically an IMAX movie so the HDR pass was specifically made for IMAX laser

Hey MisterXDTV,

I believe the Dolby page removing the Vision logo must be a mistake since it was there when I initially posted. And that is the official press release that Pieter linked to. I know AMC does occasionally play non-Dolby Cinema movies in Dolby theaters whenever there isn't one (e.g. The Accountant a couple weeks ago). But I would think anything officially announced by Dolby would mean Dolby Vision.

Plus, I just saw a Technicolor article mentioning the HDR grade: http://www.technicolor.com/en/who-we...uliar-children

I would add it back to the Dolby list, not the secondary list.

Even the german website that I use as reference doesn't have the Dolby Vision logo for Miss Peregrine, only Dolby Atmos....

http://www.cineplexx.at/film/die-ins...nderen-kinder/

I will keep it on the second list
