For me it would be 2, then 1, then 3.
I love Fincher's cut of Alien3 and I thought the stylistic look of the movie was fantastic.
Charles S. Dutton's speech at the funeral "we commit these bodies to the void..." while the alien is hatching from the dog....while truly disturbing is also amazingly beautiful at the same time.
A great scene altogether.

Alien first always. Aliens is just as good though. 2 of the greatest movies of all time. I would wait for the quadrilogy package though.

I would like the first two, prefer ALIEN it is a complete classic. Aliens is pretty much of a rehash of Alien with more creatures and more action.

I've got all of them the AVP of course on bd. Aliens is the best. Don't think Alien 3 would be replaced. Weakest of the bunch.

That's actually scientifically accurate. If you are traveling at the speed of light time moves much slower. One year of travel in space at the speed of light is equal to approximately 100 years on earth.
If interested, read some of the writings by Brian Greene, Michio Kaku, and Albert Einstein for a complete description of time and its relation to speed and gravity.

True. I just prefer my films well-written and filled with believable characters. That's why I prefer "Alien" hands down over any of its sequels. It stands among the great films of science fiction like "2001: A Space Odyssey." I'm not saying "Aliens" isn't fun but its just not in the same class as the original.

What some seem to either ignore or forget is that "Alien" is just as much of a horror film as it is sci-fi. Take away the setting and alien and you've basically got an old school gothic horror movie with characters trapped inside somewhere with a monster(s) or ghost(s).

Aliens

I would love to have all four with all the extras from the quadrology on one disc. And I hope they HD restore Aliens the way they did Alien.

As much as I like ALIENS, I think that Cameron made it look grainy on purpose so it won't look that great on Blu Ray. So if I had to pick one, I would pick Resurrection, hehe j/k ALIEN BABY!!
