If just the first three, perhaps this could be a Halloween: Complete Collection scenario where we get a US version of the Scarlet Box with Hell on Earth being exclusive to the set, then subsequent standalone Arrow releases of the first two and a Vestron Collector's Edition of Hell on Earth.

That would be my favorite best case scenario situation in terms of just the first three being a set.

How do you infer a collection is coming?

I agree with others who have said this will just be individual releases of Hellraiser 1 & 2. Those are the only two New World/Lakeshore titles, and that's who Arrow seems to have a deal with. We will probably get Hellraiser 3 from the Vestron/Lionsgate label at some point in 2017. Nothing in the Hellraiser series after part 3 interests me.

To quote Stan Smith; "Knew it. F@#king knew it."

I hope the AB extras from the 20th AEs of the first 2 films are carry over for this.

Even more so, if this set includes every single film, I'll figuratively scream with joy.

I wouldn't mind having really good releases of Bloodline (since it was the last theatrical release in the series) and Inferno (due to it being directed by Exorcism of Emily Rose/Sinister/Deliver Us from Evil/Dr. Strange helmer Scott Derrickson).

Everything else that isn't Revelations is very YMMV. Revelations itself should be buried in a shallow grave.

The new movie looks rather interesting though.

If it's a boxset hopefully it's just the 1st 2 or 3 movies.

I wouldn't mind if it's only the first three. But the first four would be even better.

I would rebuy it if they fix the framing for Part III.

No he had a very public spat with the director before filming ever began. The director wanted him to sign a non-disclosure agreement that he had all other actors signing and Bradley refused. The refusal eventually lead to the 2 parting ways and them recasting pinhead. Both parties made good points in their arguments so the only losers in this were the fans. There are several interviews available online from all parties involved, just google "Doug Bradley speaks on Hellraiser Judgement". I'd post the interviews/comments but they tend to be spread out over a series of pages over a month or two so it might be easier to just search and browse the results.

Yea I just finished reading about it after looking it up. Shame, I was looking forward to him coming back.

Googled around a bit about Judgment; have to say I'm not impressed. They finished filming back in March -- on a reported budget of only $500,000 -- and the movie has a release date of "sometime in 2017". If it turns out to actually be a good movie, awesome... but it sounds like a DTV crapfest.

What else is new? What's most shocking is that fans of Hellraiser somehow get their hopes up when this kind of crap has been going on with new Hellraiser movies for nearly twenty years now.

Like I said in the Arrow thread, skipped this in the UK at the last minute and kind of regretted it, so I'm interested in this. Might be the same discs released here, might be only one or two of them, might be later movies. Who knows? Can't wait to find out though!

It's unlikely to be as good as the early films but has the potential to be the best thing since Bloodline. I'm cautiously optimistic... but then again I own single editions of all the films on Blu Ray (several times over in a few cases) so I'm not the most critical person to speak on these films either. I wouldn't let the budget weigh much on your decision however... some of the best horror of the last 10+ years has come from the indie scene on shoestring budgets, so this could end up surprising folks.. especially if everyone goes in expecting a terrible film to begin with.

I'm interested to see what Arrow has in store. I have the U.K. scarlet box set, so if it's just a rerelease I won't bother with double dipping. I'd love to see a Bloodlines directors cut though. At least we only have to wait until Friday to find out.
