I bought the German blu before Christmas (to me, Mothman is kind of a Christmas movie - albeit a bit of a left-field one!) before realising it was the one with forced subs. Selling it without watching, I picked up the Australian version. And I have to say the picture quality I found to be excellent - I was actually surprised at just how good it was. I watched it on the back of watching the UHD HDR 4K version of Don't Look Now the previous night, and while I was a bit disappointed with the 4K mastering of Don't Look Now considering the hype this version got, Mothman looked sharp, minimal grain and just superb. I couldn't help thinking what a great 4K HDR this would make. So I recommend getting the Australian blu-ray; the only annoying thing is a couple of frames where they failed to remove the German subtitles (poor checking/quality control there) but they're gone in a flash. So I presume that the German and Aus versions are exactly the same, though the Aus one has subtitles removed.
