I like the way this box set looks better, but for what I paid for the UK box set, I guess I can't complain.

I got the first two seasons used for $20 a piece. Was happy to pay $60 day one price for seasons three and four. Got to watch them years ago too, so no regrets.

You always save money by waiting, this is nothing new.

It's very nice to finally see a complete set... maybe the US accounting department finally got tired of fans importing the UK box set and not buying the individual seasons.

I have Season 1 on DVD from the time of its original release - same with DS9 - but ran into a time when these then-$100+ sets were just way too expensive... and then never bothered coming back.

Pre-order placed!

Was disappointed when this show was cancelled. I felt it started strong, meandered a bit, and then season 4 was when the show really started firing on all cylinders. It was cancelled when it was at its best.

I bought the Blu set of ST: Enterprise for about $125 from Amazon about a year ago. If I had known this much less expensive set was going to come out in earl 2017, I would have waited. That being said, I had no way of knowing this.

From a pure packaging stand-point, however, nothing beats the regular DVD sets of this show - they each came in a hard plastic gray case, and the packaging on the inside was very solid as well. And, each season came with a great booklet with a short description of each episode. I don't have all of these on DVD, just the first season - I was lucky enough to find this @ Big Lots several years ago for $10.

Enterprise had the best pilot, but the first couple seasons felt as pointless and meandering as Voyager. Then the third and fourth seasons finally fixed the direction of the show.

Yes, the first two seasons are really just Voyager seasons 8 and 9. The writers basically admit that in the new supplements. If you liked Voyager well enough, despite it being mediocre and generic Trek, then you'll like ENT seasons one and two well enough. I enjoy all Trek even if I know these aren't great.

ENT came into its own with seasons three and four though. Season three is a great sci-fi war story IMO and season four is a great TOS prequel, what the show should have been from the get-go.

Star trek is getting as bad as CSI. can't they come up with a new concept rather than jump on the star trek or CSI banner. What next. Star trek - the retired captain stories. For me star trek will be the original series and the movies up to undiscovered country end of.

Isn't it supposed to take place between ENT and TOS? Not sure but it doesn't sound all that original to me, DS9 was the last really creative ST. I did love Enterprise a lot more than most Trekkies though.

TNG was an extremely different feeling show than TOS, especially season three on. DS9 was completely different as well. Voyager and ENT do feel like rehashes, which is why they are widely considered lesser shows (along with worse writing for the most part).

I do have to admit the new show being another one on a spaceship is somewhat disappointing. I'm hoping it still feels different though.

What, you somehow missed DS9? If anything, that show gets tons of flak for being TOO drastically deviant from TOS/TNG.

Star Trek is starting to get as bad as CSI? Star Trek had six shows before CSI even existed. And it's getting its seventh twelve years after the cancellation of the previous. And even still it's hardly comparable because it never had more than two shows on simultaneously (when DS9 intersected with the end of TNG and the beginning of Voyager).

CSI is more relatable to Law & Order or NCIS. Star Trek is mostly in a league of its own, save occasional reapperances of shows like Twilight Zone and Dragnet that have also popped up reinvented every generation.

They weren't a bad Blu-ray. Just no better than when originally shown on TV in HD.

TODAY SPECIAL is $45.99 for the Blu-ray. Its actually a few dollars cheaper then the DVD set. Too bad I already have the separates.

Does anyone know if all of the bonus content from the Season 4 stand-alone release is included in the Complete Series release?

Thanks in advance.

I'm surprised by the average to low ratings for the PQ on this. I thought it would have looked great on Blu-ray. I have quite a number of TV shows on DVD but this is one I had been wanting to upgrade to Blu-ray since I loved it and it's only four seasons. Are there any sites with screencap comparisons? Caps-a-holic didn't have any.

I missed this show when it aired, but based on the positive things said about it I just placed an order from Amazon for $35. Now to research whether Voyager is worth adding to my collection and whether to stick with streaming DS9 or picking up the DVDs while they’re on sale.

The DVDs look a little better upscaled, and of course you'd actually own them. How much that's worth to you is the question.
