I wonder if the Spider-Man 2 UHD will have the same framing error as the Mastered in 4K BD.

Seems like Best Buy has removed this from their listing. I wonder what is going on. First Amazon removed the Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 combo, and now Best Buy removes the Spider-Man Legacy Collection.

Very strange. Who messed up -- Sony or the retailers?

Perhaps Sony found an error in the set and asked them to pull the pre-order while they corrected it?

I'm guessing they're not supposed to list anything yet and both jumped the gun. I'm also hoping since Amazon listed that 2-pack there might be separate 2-packs and 3-packs for the series at normal retail and Best Buy's exclusive will be a steelbook bundle of both.

A set with the Raimi movies AND the underrated Andrew Garfield starring ones in 4K?

Okay, this is how i'll get the original trilogy in HD, plus i'll be able to upgrade the ones I actually like in 4K guilt free.

Damn this would be sick! If it's at $80 for release I'm all in for sure.

That's not enough reason for me to get it though.

Sounds like no such collection exists.

Ill buy the first Raimi Spider-Man eventually. Never cared for the other two. And the ASM films never got a proper conclusion so I have very little desire to revisit those films.

Will definitely get this. Raimi's Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man are some of my favorite films of all time.

The ASM films are frustrating to me. The first one nails the Peter/Gwen relationship but the costume wasnt great and the Lizard was pretty lame. ASM 2 had a good 90 minutes surrounded by an hour of terrible set up for a cinematic universe that never happened and the bizarre storyline about Peter's parents.

I agree about ASM 2. There's a solid, fun film underneath all that setup. But I'm kinda biased, so...

I have a soft spot for ASM2 for the music score alone, I adore the main theme in particular.

Cut the Rhino bookends, Kafka, and a lot of the stupid Electro stuff and it's watchable at just under two hours. Why it needed to be 2 hours 20 minutes is beyond me.

The Rhino bookends are pointless in terms of the overall narrative but they're the two most purely enjoyable scenes of the entire movie on their own terms. I might even say they're the only enjoyable scenes of the movie. (Actually I like the "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" bit, too.)

The opening Rhino/Graduation scene is so insanely fun that pretty much everything else in the movie is a letdown. It perfectly captures the character of Spider-Man.

It's the tiresome backstory regarding Peter's parents, that drags those movies down. That said, I think that the first ASM is an underrated film in general.

The score to this day is unmatched in its genre

It's a solid score, but there are other CBMs with better ones.
