Not surprised they're keeping it action-oriented instead of tilting towards horror.

Horror movies rarely gross as much as action films.

Action scenes in Final Chapter are horrible with overedited, quick cuts, I can't see clearly what's happening anymore. Slow motion overused in previous movies were not any better, but at least it's still easier to watch.

Anyway, just watch RE Vendetta, and it has some awesome, well-choreographed fight scenes. But it's CG so I guess it can be made easier than shooting action scenes with actors.

I can't say I'm happy about that, but with how horribly the mainline series was treated by Anderson, whatever. Go ahead and adapt the game that has the least to do with the main story.

FFS. Just base it off the first game! Train crashes, people get holed up in the mansion and slowly learn what's happening with a tense, Gothic atmosphere.

Yeahno. There were at least four main entries in the video game series before the 2002 film (which loosely followed the games and had an entirely different set of characters) came along. Evidently Milla Jovovich's Alice is a small component of this franchise.

I don't mind this so much since I really like RE7. As the other RE movies, I just view them as mindless zombie/action movies with no connection to the games so im able to enjoy them.

I always enjoyed the movies. I knew they were there own thing that just borrowed stuff from the games. As for the reboot being RE7 im very eh about it. Was my least favorite of the main games. Hoping its just a one off or will tie in later and the Chirs DLC seems to be setting up something. So hopefully RE8 goes back to the main story. Instead of filler.

I think this is an interview where they talked about her dad being in prison. I don’t remember what he did but it was in something about fraud. It was an interview in Russian so I dont know what was said.

How? The first game is freaky as hell. It's all about execution and there's nothing about the first game that'd be difficult to adapt. The problem these video game movies have is that they overly complicate matters and think they need to do more than they actually do, so it becomes a tonal mess and complete cluster****.

First act would be the train journey and introduction to the characters and the world, which would end with the train crashing and them getting to the mansion for safety.

Second act would play out like John Carpenter's The Thing except the characters are isolated and holed-up in this creepy Gothic mansion a la Hill House, where they're unsure of what's happening with tension and paranoia abound.

Third act would be a frantic fight for survival with the Zombies overrunning the mansion, Zombie Dogs, Bats, Licker etc but played straight Horror not action, and ending with the climactic reveal and cliffhanger regarding the Umbrella Corporation.

So simple.
