Man, I really hope it opens to larger than $20 million.

They had 5 showtimes at the theater I went to last night each of them were pretty solidly packed.

The market has finally been glutted...why blow $100 on gas, parking, tickets and snacks to take the family out to see the FOURTH Despicable Me movie in theaters when you can just stay at home and watch one of the previous three? Just like superhero movies, CGI kiddie movies are beginning to hit a wall where there are too many, spaced too closely together, to make the kind of money they used to take in a decade ago when there was still a modicum of novelty to them. When you can't go two weeks without at least one of these films opening up, you begin to fatigue the audience.

We went 2 months without any animated movies and Captain Underpants and Cars 3 still underperformed.
