I much preferred Deep Impact, but they were definitely two different kinds of movies.

I'd pick up Armageddon for sure...and some time in 2009 I'll pick up Deep Impact from Paramount.

I've been waiting forever for this to just be released in an anamorphic dvd and has never happened. It was the first film I showed to my friends after I set up my HT in the basement (on laserdisc , before its first dvd release) and it looked and sounded great. I love this film. It's such a piece of manipulative junk but everything about it is so much fun it's the ultimate guilty pleasure. You could base a Phd thesis on Michael Bay movies on it alone. The montage sequences alone (that kid "flying" the space shuttle on main st. america always kills me) are worth the price of the movie and the very first appearance of the second Bay classic shot: the heroes walking in a row in slow motion straight into the camera. Oh and the first classic shot? The huge fireball sun with anything flying, walking, or running into or out of it. That's the first thing I look for when Bay releases a new film.

Here in France : the month in rumor for a release date for Armageddon is May !

So if it reveals to be true, guess it will be the same or sooner in the US

And : Bad Boys 1 & 2 (still in France) in April !

a really good list there of releases. If Bad Boys 1 and 2 are region free, you can probably imagine i'll be putting them on my pre-order list.
