Wow, I just now noticed the repeated text "MISERY" in the poster. Very clever, I like it even more now. Love that that'll be the reverse art.

Trying to decide if I like this movie enough to double-dip. Still haven't decided. We'll see what they manage to do with it I guess.

As much as I love this film the book is 10 times better. King delves into the processes, and frustrations of writing. And of course it is much more graphic. However the film is a faithful adaptation none the less. I will be double dipping indeed.

Caan has done interviews for Thief and Rollerball so I think he might be possible. Not sure about Bates though. I'm sure they'll do all they can.

Indeed, Caan seems to be an easy access kind of guy when discussing past work and he recently was involved with The Godfather I & II panel at Tribecca. Kathy Bates obviously is a toss up but hopefully she'll chime in since the role won her an Oscar.

I don't know, the current, and rather old transfer looks incredible. This could definitely end up worse.

Don't own Misery in any incarnation at the moment, so the Scream Factory CE will easily be the film's inaugural entry into my movie collection.

Yeah this is a rare situation where the current transfer is pretty solid already so I'm curious about how the remaster will turn out. I'm going to wait for reviews before I get rid of my MGM copy.
