So IT had an amazing Saturday to the tune of $44M, a $110M opening weekend is now locked and $120M is a strong possibility. Truly an amazing number for this relatively small film.

Horror movies are usually front-loaded. That's a monster Saturday by any metric, but especially so for a horror movie.

Had it not been for the hurricane(s), it would have had a crack at Deadpool's record.

When I was checking the seating charts for what seemed like the only operating Regal on Thursday night, there were at least 5 or 6 sell-outs for IT. For all the other people like me that got shut out this weekend, just wait until next weekend when we go out in droves to see this movie.

Not to rub salt in the wound, but since it's an honest opinion, it doesn't bode well for the success of that brand new release on Friday UNLESS a lot of people decide to find time/money for both that same weekend, because we know what the top priority will be for majority of folks.

Myself, I would be more than willing to support both that weekend, provided the theaters are operating again and my MoviePass card gets here.
