Pretty sure this is based on a book, cannot remember the title but it had

There's already a film in the works for that book. It stars Kiernan Shipka, and is currently in post-production.

This looks to be one of the most tense movies ever. Rewatching the trailer, the concept is just perfect.

Teaser and trailer just has you gripping an object! The bathtub sequence is going to be nuts!

Saw the trailer for this for the first time today. Liked it a lot. Will be checking this out. Blunt, Krasinski, NICE! Love intense movies like this one. Isolated/secluded setting, perfect.

I have been obsessed with the first trailer. I hope my speculations are correct and it turns out to be a silent film in the first half where its just the family communicating in sign language and then as it goes along dialogue comes into play.

Anyway, I have a lot of faith for this movie.

Certainly possible considering the actress who plays the daughter is deaf and I imagine would be partly chosen for her ability to deliver a sign language performance

Wow, I never noticed it before but she does have a hearing aid on her ear. I took it as none of them were actually deaf but just couldn't really talk.
