Too many titles to list, but for the entire Black Friday week (Tues - Cyber Monday), I picked up 114 Blu-rays. I averaged $5.03 per BD (yes, I tracked it all), and my store breakdown was as follows:

Best Buy: 40

Granted, I generally just hold out most of the year on all the good new release stuff, and just binge-buy it all around Black Friday for about 20-25% of their regular release prices. Fortunately, I'm patient enough to handle delaying my BD gratification all year, each year. The only title I completely whiffed on was Cars 3 for $7 at Walmart, but I'll just add it to my next DMC order for just a buck more. A great week, but now it's sadly back into hibernation mode 'til next year, outside of the usual gifts, un-skippable B&N sales, and those pesky <$5 sales that I can never lay off of!

Speaking of Black Friday, does anyone know what happened to the Best Buy and Walmart threads? Did they just get deleted from the entire forum? I don't see them anywhere anymore, nor do I see my posts therefrom in my posting history list anymore. I see the Target BF thread, but these other two apparently got wiped out entirely! Very weird. Maybe a moderator error when they were trying to move them to the Dead Deals section or something...?

So, here's a Best Buy policy note that came to my attention from a misdelivered item of mine.

I ordered the Mad Max: Fury Road (Black & Chrome Edition) blu for $5.99. They end up sending me the standard edition by mistake.

I take the standard edition back to my local Best Buy. They can't exchange it (as they don't have it in stock at the store), nor are they able to order the correct edition for me. I'm told to reorder the correct edition online. They take the standard edition back and refund my money. I was told that they had a lot of people bringing back the "wrong" Mad Max: Fury Road blus...

Anyway, so I finally get ahold of Best Buy's customer service via phone and learn that they will not send me the correct copy unless I am willing to pay the current non-promotional price, which is now at $24.99.

I felt like I was owed the correct item I ordered, at the price I ordered it but, quite frankly, after an hour or so of just waiting to talk to an actual human, I let it go. I just didn't have the energy to fight for it.

What do you guys think?

Sorry to hear that. I think that you're 100% right, and BB should honor what they advertised at the price that was offered.

But practically they're a big company and unless you find someone sympathetic in cs. then I don't think you would get anywhere. Maybe you could sue them, but I'd guess that would be a lot of effort, and their lawyers would defend them well.

Haha. It would be funny to spend thousands on legal fees for a $18.00 difference, all to just end up losing the case.

On principle, I know I'm right. I gave them my business and they failed to deliver on the goods promised, even as said goods are in stock.

I'm sure I could complain and spend a few more hours on the phone to get the blu delivered at the promo price, but I just don't have the energy anymore these days.

Even typing about it has worn me out. I need a nap.
