Why the F*** if you are buying a 4K edition of any thing, dose the 1080p copy matter? it is just added cost. No body gets the pitch fork out because the DVD copy lacks a grainy VHS copy

The people asking haven't upgraded to UHD yet but want the remaster.

Also some people have multiple TVs but only one UHD setup, or might want to lend or gift the BD to someone else... there's a myriad of reasons.

It'd be nice if the original post was updated. This thread is useful for those of us who still only use BD players but are future-proofing by buying UHDs.

It's not remastered though, it's just a port of Sony's standard European disc.

I'm a bit bitter that the blu-rays included in the Mummy Trilogy are the same old ones as before. The 4k remasters are amazing, the standard blu-ray look good, but they're really showing their age at this point.

Apologies for not keeping this up to date. I haven’t been very active on the forum recently. I kind of gave up on new versions of my favorite catalog titles on Blu-ray, since it seemed as if 4K releases with new Blu-ray discs is the exception. It is nice to see that sometimes this isn’t the case. I will try to look at the releases everyone has mentioned and add them to the list.

Also, the 2008 Rambo movie is on here, and it sorta counts. The 4k comes with the 2010 extended cut bluray, so it fits since it wasn't the original bluray, but unlike Rambo 1-3, it doesn't appear to be new 2019 remastered bluray, so perhaps just a small note could be made at the bottom to clarify that.

Thanks, removed it, doesn't meet the criteria. That was just my unfamiliarity with the original movies when adding them to the list, I didn't realize the first Rambo movie was named "First Blood" and not "Rambo." Never seen 'em
