Joe: Retaliation which brought in $2 million and $2.5 million respectively. In fact, Ready Player One's Thursday preview gross is also larger than the $3 million brought in by Terminator Salvation, which finished with $55 million for the four-day and $42.5 million for its opening three-day.

RPO should have a good BO turnout, I've gotten overall postive responses from my guys that have seen it already. I'll be seeing it myself on Saturday in IMAX!

Best crowd I can recall for a midweek 2pm showing.
About half full for RPO earlier.

Black Panther back at #1 on Wednesday . That deadline tool last week predicted a final domestic total of $644 million...I have no idea what that guy takes to be so disoriented.

Anyways BP $1.7 million and PR2 a sorry $1.5 million. Expect PR2 to drop 70% in its 2nd weekend.

RPO with a VERY strong $3.75 million from Wednesday previews...been saying that it might go off.

Theater counts losers going into the weekend: Both WIT and Tomb Raider lead losing around 1,050 theaters each. Also
[Show spoiler]*hidden so Kip won’t read it* Jennifer Lawerence’s Red Sparrow loses 974 theaters and only has 528 theaters left
. BP with almost 3,000 theaters going into the weekend .

Red Sparrow is still full showtimes at my theatre this weekend. Jumanji is down to 4&7pm only.

RPO was shown in one of the smallest theaters which holds 91 people. I was quite shocked they decided to go with such small room but it was nearly 5 people max in there.

They actually upgraded PRU to two of the larger auditoriums tonight at my Cinemark even with RPO in theaters now.

It’s also sharing one of the bigger auditoriums over at AMC tomorrow and I’m guessing this weekend.

I’m thankful some of the theaters here are giving me a second chance to watch it on some of the larger screens, because I didn’t get a chance to use my MoviePass on it yet. I’m gonna try tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Steven Spielberg hasn't released a happy'ish sci-fi'ish movie in a long damn time. Audiences will welcome him back.

Going with something above Deadline's estimates.

Ready Player One $58 mil
Acrimony $16 mil
God's Not Real 3 $3 mil

RPO is showing signs of breaking out in China, presales were weak but thanks to great user ratings walk up business is really strong.

“Spielberg returns to old form” should be the only words people on the fence need to hear. Damn the user ratings and critic consensus.
