One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Tries way too hard and completely falls flat IMO. It's interesting to see it getting so much praise.

I'm pretty sure it's not. If anyone is trying to hard it's you by stating this. You didn't like it fine but worst movie you've ever seen. Stop.

I didn't day the worst. I said one of the worst, and it is regardless of you two saying its not.

Well if you put it that way but he's got 100+ movies in his Blu-Ray collection so I doubt.

Wondering the same thing. $10 is tempting but I'd gladly pay more for a UHD. Still irritated I could only get The Disaster Artist on BD.

Boots, writter and director, tweeted the following when asked about. UHD disc

Well, we didnt shoot in 4k. We shot it in "looks ****in good to me" on the Arri Alexa.

We could sell a 4k version though, but it wouldnt really be better quality.

Thanks for this. Googled his tweet and he follows it up by saying 'We hav the movie colored in the way we want folks2see it' so it really does seem like he's happy with how it looks on BD.

Jumped back to 19.99 at BB.

That was a great price last week.

I saw some reviews and then read this thread before watching this film and the person above saying it's one of the worst films they've ever seen. For as much as that could be taken as an exaggeration, with now having seen the film myself i can totally understand that person having that opinion, and i could also myself quite easily have the same opinion that it's one of the worst iv seen to be honest.

Edit: and iv just remembered that one of the main reasons i decided to check out this film was because it was having comparisons being made of being like a Charlie Kaufman film, (and im a huge fan of Eternal Sunshine, Malkovich, and Synecdoche.) And even tho i can see why those comparisons would be made, i certainly dont agree. Charlie Kaufman's films are weird and quirky in a touching, deep, thought provoking, soul stirring, grown up and intelligent manner. Whereas this film was weird just in a 'bizzare immature comedy' manner.

When I saw it in the theater, there were three couples other than me in that showing and all three couples got up and walked out at various points in the movie - well ahead of the
[Show spoiler]horse people
third act. I stuck it out and thought a lot about it for a few days afterward. It's offbeat and bizarre to be sure, but upon a couple other recent re-watches at home, I find myself appreciating it more and more on different levels.

I'm a little surprised this seems so divisive, I thought it was very funny and smart. It's obviously absurdist and features a lot of elements of magical realism, but it's very clear and cogent about the issues it focuses on. Personally, one of my favorites from last year.

This is still my favorite film of 2018. It's a masterpiece. I bet those people that walked out of the screening were probably white. There's a general consensus going on that white folks were offended at the scenes depicting Cassius using a "white voice" to get ahead at the company. If someone is offended at that then it's not the film's fault, it's the person being offended. In fact, the film has done its job.

I even loved the final act with the
[Show spoiler]equisapiens
- that's some next level Black Mirror shit to me, which is why it works.

Looks like I might have to import this across the boarder. EOne doesn’t seem to care about giving this a physical release over here.

If you're intending to do that, do it soon. Looks like it's OOP, and used copies are going for about $20 at Amazon
