There is no indication on the product page that this is a steelbook; even the product image looks to be the standard digi packaging.

Do we know for sure that this is a steelbook? Perhaps its only exclusive because it comes with the figurine?

Hopefully someone makes it into an actual FYE store tomorrow to confirm that it's a Steelbook. If it in fact is NOT a Steelbok, I hope i can cancel in time.

Thanks. I just rechecked my order email and it says the same. Fingers crossed that it is actually a steelbook.

This is why there should be a policy that a pre-order cannot be put up until they can show an actual prototype that shows size, finish (matte/gloss) instead of a photoshopped mockup. I think this would save them time and money from cancellations/returns/refunds.

Understandbly, we would still pre-order on faith for the Premium retailiers such as Blufans, HDZeta Net, Manta Lab, etc. because more often than not, they exceed our expectations.

I called FYE in Iowa, and Suncoast in Omaha. FYE said there was nothing on the packaging to imply it's a steelbook. Suncoast just flat out said they made a mistake and it's not a steelbook at all.

Both said they had the sets with the Aang figurine, and that the box just looked bigger to accomodate the figure.

I would guess that it probably isn't a SB but it'll take till tomorrow for actual hard conformation.

I called again after they had a conference call.

"It's not a steelbook. The manufacturer made us think it was, but it's just the original Blu ray set with the Aang figurine. Our site updated to it accordingly, but we didn't receive news until today."

Not likely. The regular blu-ray retails at $45 so $5 more to add a small cheap figure with no fancy packaging is where this looks like it's headed.

That sucks. I would have bought/preordered (didn’t have the extra funds till now) it this past weekend if it was a steelbook. I don’t see the figurine worth the extra $20.

Damn it. Seriously? That's why they updated the listing notation on the product page?

There's no option to cancel my pre-order. Just emailed them to see if I can cancel.

I went into FYE yesterday to check on this set to see if they had the steelbook. They were totally clueless but the only thing they received was a box set with the figure and avatar bluray series in the box for $49.99. It was just the regular set shoved in the box set. I should have taken a picture cause theres not a single picture out there of this set on ebay, insta, or twitter lol.

Even though a picture is worth a thousand words, let's see if you have the gift of describing it good enough for me to decide if I should keep it or request a cancellation.

I just got my shipping confirmation and it's still refers to it as a Steelbook. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Got mine today, I haven't opened it. The box doesn't mention anything about it being a steelbook, I can't really see that well past the plastic statue even with a flashlight, but sadly it doesn't look like a steelbook. Glad my nearest FYE is ONLY a 40 min drive.

Ehh... kinda worried that the bluray box inside won't have a plastic seal, FYE won't return it opened, but it does look like a slipcover, I can't see anything shiny.

Wreck at HDN confirms his does not have a steelbook in it.
