Hawke snubbed, but it's great to see fellow great Paul Schrader actor WILLEM DAFOE get in.

Bradley Cooper & Peter Farrelly over Yorgos.....The Globes always remind me why they never make sense. Very happy to see Spike Lee in the category though.

To be fair Bradley Cooper did an amazing job, especially as a first timer, with A Star Is Born. He was always a lock to get a Best Director nom.

I'm emotionally devastated there was no love for Gotti, which was not only the best film of our generation, it was the finest achievement in filmmaking in all of human history.

Dwayne Johnson snubbed for Rampage. Happytime Murders snubbed in screenplay. Fifty Shades Freed snubbed for Best Animated Film. Oh, the injustice of it all...

The Oscar winner for Best Picture should be among the Golden Globe nominees for Best Director. The last time it wasn't was in 1989.

Crazy Rich Asians was a good romantic comedy... it was not a GREAT ground breaking movie. And it just shows that it has nothing to do with the movie, just the press it got because there was a movie with a predominantly asian cast that deserved nominations... Searching, John Cho deserved recognition for his performance in that movie.

Black Panther was another great Marvel movie, i feel that if it was going to be included it shouldnt just be a token nom for picture but also a nom for Coogler as director and it would be nice for the writers of these marvel movoes to actually get some recognition.

Having said that, Avengers: Infinity War was a better movie and if a super hero movie was going to be nominated that should have been it... actually scratch that, Deadpool 2 should have been nominated over them all

Adam McKay's Vice walked away with the most film nominations, 6 in total.

I made a list of all the films nominated and if i counted right there is 34. I have only seen a small fraction of it and have a ton to watch. I love awards season though and enjoy trying to watch as many as possible. I am disappointed in no First Reformed nomination though...easily my second favorite of the year.

Isle of Dogs with 2 nominations (more than Incredibles 2) puts a big smile on my face

“Nothing groundbreaking; just got attention because it broke ground for Asians.”

Bohemian and Black Panther being nominated for Best Picture is a joke. Wasn't a fan of A Star is Born. Haven't seen the other 2.

That mistake can’t happen again at the Oscars.
I think they hurt her Oscar chances personally but hope I'm wrong. The Oscar's better accept her for Supporting.

Tom can do stunt work and training for almost three years, have a film with fantastic direction and score....but it gets shunned. On the flip side one of the worst MCU movies with some of the worst direction and effects gets nominated to bring in ratings and pat-me-on-the-back points for the HFPA.

Another year skipped for me.
