Finally! Love this movie... And this makes the fifth Shout/Scream BD on my March day one purchase list... These guys are draining me to bankruptcy... but VERY pleasantly so!

Mimi Rogers looks amazing in this, was she still married to Cruise at this point?

They had just gotten married (or were at least engaged) at this point. I don't think Tom really appreciated what he had, but then again, it was Mimi's fault for introducing him to Scientology.

Another movie that should be released as a budget disc. One of Ridley's lesser movies but still worth owning for $10 or less not $27 + tax. Even if it were 4K it still wouldn't be worth that much.

Received my copy from SF yesterday, and I watched it last night. I have to say, it's an impressive transfer. Visually, the film is so pristine, and SF have translated it well. Very filmic. Mimi Rogers looks great in it. Overall, this is an awesome release. This is the kind of stuff I like buying on Blu-ray--films new to the format.

Pre-ordering direct from Shout means getting it at least two weeks early (sometimes ).

I just bought this in a store in Toronto. The store is too expensive with their blu-rays but used a gift card towards it since I love this film and really wanted it. No slip, though.

Tom Berenger and Mimi Rogers are perfectly cast (and both look gorgeous). And of course, the stunning cinematography.

I miss when Hollywood made good romantic thrillers.

USA Someone to Watch Over Me (1987) coming from Shout!

Did this Shout Select title came without their usuall slipcover??? Every Shout Select title had one in the past. If you are a collector and you pay more than 27 bucks for a catalog title of the 80's it is really a rip-off.

The first Ridley Scott film to disappoint me. Even if Legend wasn’t on the same level as Alien and Blade Runner, the quality of the world building was their equal. It’s still one of the best looking fantasy films ever made.

This movie was watchable enough but deeply ordinary. Berenger and Rogers lack the star quality to make glamours trifle like this work, the only one who gets to shine is Lorraine Bracco.

This is one of the few films of his that I haven't seen, along with Black Rain. Are they on a similar level? They both seem to get labeled as "average at best" Ridley Scott films.

And totally agree regarding Legend. It's a shame it didn't turn out the way Scott intended, but visually I think it's absolutely stunning.

I’d give Black Rain the Edge over this, but “average at best” is about right.

IMHO, Black Rain is above average... it s much more action-packaged and fast-packed, with a fantastic cast.
